Depending on the type of challenges. I believe I skipped two of the recent ones, such as Tonnes of Fun--because it was anything but fun.

I don't miss the, "Assists are worth more than kills," events. If they could never do that one again, that would be fantastic.

I suppose the sale is sort of an event. There are at least 4 mechs I'd like to pick up this time.

I never understood why they dont just set both assists and kills to be worth even points.

Assists are worth more than kills often and ass such PGI awards them more points. If I do 95% damage and you get the final blow why should you get awarded more than me?

However kill most damage, getting more points I could happily live with.

When we have weekend events every week folks complain.

When we don't people wanna know why we don't have an event?

They said that was a mistake and wouldn't do it that way again.

I really liked the last events that used match score - people just played the game. No need for some fancy formula with kills and assists and what not. Just match score and done.

I have no idea how the match score worked, but suddenly myself & my fiancee could easily & quickly establish if we passed the baseline, and we were much more engaged therefore with the event. Also means we didn't see as many people being dumb like "must assist all 12, get 0 kills, get at least 450 damage" with LRMs and the like (or even worse "must get 12 kills, 0 assists").
