Cover is situational. Plain and simple.
What if you are attacking? You cannot move to cover if you are attempting to engage the enemy, you need a line of sight for that.
What if you are forced to engage out on open grounds, being flanked from any direction?
Cover is as situational as it can be, you cannot always expect or think ahead and plan every move you make and expect the enemy to just kindly follow the pre-set pattern in your head.
Combat in this game is not "do as follows, or I will talk with your mother" its situational.
Cover can be situational but I think the point is, "Don't put yourself in those situations." Which again is an opportunity to improve your play. I've had to start learning to fire through FX since I've gone from lights/mediums to learning Assaults. I cored a Direwolf out while he was doing Daka on me with 4 C-UAC5s because I was twisting and blasting center mass every time I swung back using the red box as a guide.
