You don't need 4 of them, and it basically screams XL engine.
I killed a few of these tonight in my Wubbringer.
The 9S is a great mech now, but those side torsos are as huge and easy to shoot as ever - the extra internal structure isn't deterring anyone.

I killed one about an hour ago. I saw 4x ER PPCs and guessed it was mostly like an XL.
3 Alphas later he was dead with only a sad sub 100 damage score to show for his troubles.
Sometimes, you just need enough weapons. Not all the weapons.

Dayum, Max settings really look awesome! Makes me want to eat my Reiterpallasch. If only I can get more than 3 FPS in the Mechlab at Max settings
Engine? Oh you mean that thing kills you when it gets scratched? Nope, don't need those

When i do the "2-1 punch", there is a chance of close to 50% that the third ER PPC won't deal damage. No "the crosshair doesn't flash but you deal damage, look at the paperdoll". Zero damage, flat out no hitreg. Can't see myself using a 4th, wasting even more heat for zero damage

If someone's going to let you pour 3 laser alphas into 1 component, it doesn't matter what build they bring.

XL on anything with that style of geometry is doom. I'm not sure why people still do it.
Plus you're just going to get gaussed down for your trouble anyway. I get XLs in ballistic or missile heavy builds that can get away with ammo dumping quickly from long range but not in energy builds (which could be more useful lasting longer).

less slots used for more weight saved than endo. I run a 300 and 9 dhs, lets see you manage something even close to that mobility and cooling with a std and endo.
It's a perfectly acceptable tradeoff if you don't brawl with it...... and if you're letting someone core side torsi without at least stripping all your front armor that's mainly poor piloting. Having people attack a tb's side torso is par for the course no matter the variant as it's an easy way to neuter them due to hardpoint layout without having to do the extra dmg to ct core
