Anyone having some normal good prices? I can atm not relate the vlaue of a single c-bill. So what are prices for regular goods, like bread, water, a steak, tooth paste or whatever. at leats i guess the novels spoke about such a thing.

marik seems to have weird "regular" goods. and this does not help me make a relation to prices because as a couple this stuff is free.
Well according to the Mechwarrior; A time of War (RPG) a shirt costs between 3 and 15 c-bills, so one could look and extrapolate that the costs would be in line with what they are today. With perhaps a little inflation or deflation, depending on where you live, both here and in the Mechwarrior univerise, I would imagine that breed could cost more in Liao or Marik territory than in the FedCom, and I think Rice would be cheap in the Combine…

thx,
this would make mechs look quite cheap, I mean imagine you get a tank for only 3 million $ lol. For stuff that is said to be the best military stuff you can get and mechs being even above other miltary tech, quite a cheap good.

Also, there are other currencies than the C-bill, each nation has a different one, with different exchange rates against the C-bill.

According to the TROs,
In 1999 1 C-bill was equal to 3 USD (3rd ed of the RPG) and that was set in 3062
in 1991 it was 5 USD per C-bill (3052 -2nd ed RPG)
in 1986 it was 5 USD per C-bill (3025 -1st ed RPG)

Cool, at the bottom of the page this chart is there.
C-Bill Conversion to U.S. Dollar
Game Year Source Year Current [4]
3025 1986: $5.00 [5] 2010: $9.95
3052 1991: $5.00 [6] 2010: $8.00
3062 1999: $3.00 [7] 2010: $6.54
In 3062 (current year) a comstar-bill would be worth $6.54 usd. An atlas costs roughly 9.5 million c-bills. If we multiply 6.54 by 9.5 we get $62 million... My god... steiner really likes to flont their cash!
