I've seen Marik premades get stomped by Davion PUGs, but please talk your faction up all you want.

Someone's got their cranky pants on.

I was in a regular group against a 12 man clan premade on the defense on the snow map and we wiped the floor with them.

But I have to say, just about the only thing I agree with thats said on these forums about regular groups is that, its a dice roll. Sometime alot of veteran hardened mechwarriors and sometimes newbies and or trolls. Sorry to the newbies you get thrown in with the trolls again.

Anyway expect the worste and hope for the best when dropping in small groups or solo. Sometimes against all odds regular groups do win. And helping newer players do well in these matches is a side bonus I guess.

I'm not wearing pants, or anything else for that matter. Clothing just gets in the way of my enjoying MWO. Most of the time I have to play one-handed. ;)

Im not talking anyone up. I had a contract with Davion and dropped with them. Lost every match but we still took planets from Liao due to sheer numbers. Dropped with Marik 6 times last night and didnt lose a match.

For one you have a level of leadership thats smart enough to forge nonaggression alliances such as with Liao and actually keep their word. When a Kurita planet came up Marik leadership was smart enough to actually go to Kurita and ASK about taking it and give a reasonable explanation for doing so instead of zerging the planet. Alliances such as this allow a concentration of numbers coupled with a decent skill level of the pilots to beat a numerically superior enemy such as steiner and davion. Honestly, what other faction took 3 planets yesterday? Hell, who took 2 planets? No one thats who. Combination of good diplomacy through leadership and competency on the battlefield makes it the best faction to pug in and feel like you have a fighting chance of coming out on top.

Believe me I have seen it happen in the reverse a couple of times. One can never know what is going to happen just by Unit tags or lack thereof.
