It's games like this that convinced me to stop building custom rigs with ridiculously powerful set-ups.

I run the game on an Asus RoG laptop from 2012. Similar specs to the OP except I have an nvidia 680M gpu. When the game starts chugging because it consumes far more resources than the gameplay or graphic would indicate, I just turn it off and play something else.

My laptop works fine for most games. I'm not going to sacrifice portability and build a custom gaming rig just for one game. I've done it in the past, and then I didn't even end up playing the game I built the system for more than two months.

That is your problem. 2.3 ghz. You really need faster cores for this game, like, 3.2 ghz +

Your other components are fine, and you can crank your graphics up higher, its the cpu thats really holding you back. This game is a quad core cpu pig.

I agree this game loves cpu but dont forget that's a i7 its pulling a cpu score around my i5 3.4ghz. I can run almost all very high settings(if they didnt cause me to crash more often)

He said everything was on low other than textures on medium.Directx9 should give around 10% improvement. Running in 64bit mode has been reported as giving improvement in speed too. I didnt see any speed increase with 64bit and it crashed more often. Still worth a shot.

I get a DLL error when I try to switch to the 64-bit client....

The score is meaningless. Your at 3.4 ghz so that is why you are seeing decent performance and he is not.

Badly optimized game graphics and it is also CPU bound. Not much you can do. my in-game FPS is around 60 and I have nearly the top-end of CPU, Graphics etc. etc.

Try dropping your resolution, it's not the greatest solution but it will find you some frames.
Just try and stay with the same aspect ratio, i.e. if you're running 1920X1080, try switching down to 1280x720

As you mentioned earlier, watch your temperatures closely. If your system is consistently over 80c, you have a real problem. Clean your fans as well as you can. You probably can't reapply paste to your heat sinks without tearing the whole thing apart. Some lap tops have their fan controls locked, regardless of what program you use to speed them up. You can still hunt around and make sure there isn't a manufacturer supplied fan control. external fans help some, but if you're over 90, I am not sure that will be enough.

Good luck!

Saving energie \ Moderate \ High performance \ Lenovo Graphics dynamic scheme
Last one is selected every time i run MWO.

I don't have it in front of me, so I can't say for sure...but I'm not sure I like the last option, the word "dynamic" doesn't sound like a good thing to me. That sounds to me like the system can throttle up and down...screw all that, make that computer run balls to wall until it's heatsinks start to glow. I can't say for sure but try just regular high performance.

Yep. Not running great at all. New modes, alot of new additions makes me think optimzation is at an all time low for now.

What is the dll name? Im guessing you need the vc++ 64bit pack installed check http://mwomercs.com/...bit-mwo-client/ download link https://www.microsof...s.aspx?id=14632

Im going to have to disagree. Benchmarks are about the only way to tell how good a cpu is anymore. The speed its running at doesnt really matter.

Yes that was exactly my issue actually (Cleaning the fan).
By overclocking my system, i saw that i cannot modifie the speedfan
By seeing the temp i knew something was wrong.
I did opened my laptop and... cleaned it.
Dropped 30degrees
For now idk if i have better fps, but will edit it.

Ty dude.

#Edit: Yep, can go back to medium setting\1366x768, no more mouse desync, and an average of 45fps :D
Ty all for bringing your opinion and happy new year!
