The above image was directly confirmed as recent concept art doctored up for christmas stuff; but His Mechporn Lordship was working on legit Urbanmech concept art.

Did not know that. Thanks.

I'm looking forwards to see if this mech turns out as a viable option, as I would love to pilot it. Anyone got an idea what its quirks could be? :D

A +50% cooldown with Ballistics (one variant for AC/20, one for AC/10 and one for LB-X) would be a good start.

Clearly that big gun means the mech need a stronger internal structure too ;)

A PGI created Solaris? Doesn't sound very appealing right now, especially with CW just starting to get through the door, but who knows it could end up being fun so long as they pay attention to us and listen to what we want done with it. As for the Urbanmech #UrbieTidePride all the way. They should give everyone (yes everyone) a free Champion Urbanmech since they did that cruel April Fool's joke to us.

As a question for the Town Hall, I cordially ask, again, when will the Flamer receive its reengineering? Once this is done can we expect Flamer based mechs (Blackjack 1X, the entire Firestarter line, and a few others) to receive Flamer based quirks? Thank you.

EDIT: I think that reengineering the flamer should receive a bit of a bumped up priority due to an exploit that was pointed out in my Flamer suggestion thread by someone who claims that utilizing this exploit is what makes the Flamer a perfectly balanced/if-not-OP weapon system. Personally, I had no idea this exploit existed . . . otherwise it would have been sent in to support LONG ago.

Lets see, April 1st of last year, the Christmas e-mail and now the urby shadow. We all know that the urby likes to keep in the shadows and come out when you least expect it too.

So will the urbanmech be released with no warning during a hotfix?

Urbanmech: Confirmed

\o/

....please let it be so

He'll no, it is an anti-infantry mech like the Firestarter, so that means that PGI will give it an indestructible torso and quirks that allow it to fire autocannons and lasers 100x faster than normal with negative heat generation.

It is. Now if they make it have realistic hit boxes and reasonable quirks, then it will take a truely skilled pilot to do anything significant with it.

Urbanmech will be OP no matter what PGI chooses to do with it.

Because Urbie.

All hail his Urban-ness!

I still reckon it should have a 360° or near to it torso twist. Stupidly fast too, as in, tracking a spider at 10m fast. But the mech itself should be slower than a snail in molasses. I'd also give it either really deflective hitboxes, or major damage reductions.

Oh, and Super Dakka AC 10/20/LBx buffs too.

360 torso is fine, rediculous, unrealistic hit boxes and "miracle void armor", no.

To be perfectly frank.... the reason why I have to wait for a podcast version or some other easily accessible version of the town hall meetings... is I haven't got any idea how to use twitch.tv. And when I do try, it spends ages "connecting" long after the stream is over, as if somehow waiting for a new stream to start (which of course isn't going to), leaving me to wonder if twitch hosts actual videos or exclusively streams...and what value there would be in that?

But that said, I'll wait around for the youtube/podcast/transcript version.

Not sure if you have this problem, but some people do not realize you have to click on the button to confirm you want to view a "mature" stream before it starts playing. NGNG streamers sometimes cuss, so they had to add the mature filter on it, just like I did due to a few "wordy" Bears....

As IS player i want to ask, when do i get to shoot something other than Timber Wolves and Stormcrows? I.e. When are you planning to add some nice quirks to Summoner, Nova and Adder? Also, After the Resistance pack, can we have two Clan packs in row? (only 13 Clan mechs is too few imo) Thank You!

thought this was going to be a rage post talking about nerfing the clans as usual but the nice contradictory feel of the post is it's own charm.

However we can not have any more packs now....

Only clan mechs that can be put into the game now is FIremoth "Dasher" (MASC), Viper "Firefly" (Nova + Kitfox...), [no heavy mech], Executioner "Gladiator".

3 mechs, no heavy mech.

There are IIC mechs and other mechs like Couldron-born / ebon jaguar, and the Shadowcat.

BUT those are not till 3052 (2017 in our time for MW release).

No clan packs sadly...

Really hope Russ can relay his thoughts and opinions on introducing Overlord Dropships into CW somehow, nudge nudge, wink wink.

Either as a counter-attack primary objective to destroy, or purchasable with unit coffers and the ability to send it to a planet at a small cost to be deployed in battle instead of Leopard dropships. Could provide insurance against spawncamping allow for ammo reloads, possible even armour refitting(repair).
