I remember jumping with joy when the good modders of MekTek had created co-op mode for MW4: Mercenaries. Me and my buddy played all the missions multiple times and still couldn't get enough. :)

Yeah, something like Warframe would make my day, been playing that game like non stop for a week now. Its odd looking, the art is strange but the gameplay......dayum is it addicting. Now if it was Mechwarrior? I would never be able to put it down.

Months of work for them for you to finish in a couple hours. Seems worth it

Adding coop is waste of time. And would be a financial disaster.

If they have to charge $40 for a hero assault mech, imagine what theyd have to charge for a coop campaign... becuase maps are WAY more time intensive to make than mechs.

What they actually need to add is solaris.

So we can get free 1v1 private matches?

THey could implement that so easy, just make a "Sol 7 Q", where it searches only for mech class and 1 player in a similar class mech....

Thats why Warframes method is so awesome, same missions, but you can basically just play any one you want at your time. Mission types are numerous, fun stuff.

Co-Op isnt a waste of Time. I'd love to see a Co-Op Conquest mode that is Player run that is modeled on the Battletech Universe Story Line.

Areotech, Dropships, Ground Vehicles and Infantry, Jumpships. and more

I also support the inclusion of elements like this.

Please direct your attention to this thread. PGI has been fairly responsive over the last year or so, indicating this thread may actually lead somewhere as it was opened by their community manager, the wonderful Tina Benoit.

Something similar to the multiplayer from Mass Effect 3 would be fantastic. I mean, straight up PVE missions like MW2 would be great as well, and even better with coop. But they're also a lot of work. You can only play the same mission so many times before it gets old. Coop PVE with waves and random spawn points and random enemies are a lot cheaper and have more longevity, even though they don't have the same level of immersion and atmosphere as a scripted mission with voice acting, etc.

Randomly generated missions sound fun. I'm in a rogue-like/lite trip this week. Add a city builder mini-management game to it too.

I'd like to see them do a Planetside 2 style campaign mode where the players control where the fighting will be.

Just combine mech commander and mechwarrior. Get an RTS combined with a FPS/Sim. If anyone has played Natural Selection 2 then you know what I'm talking about.

Mission based gameplay with off map assets and some AI (tanks/helicopters/elementals/etc) controlled by a human commander in classic overhead RTS mode and a group of human controlled mechs goes against a team that is composed the same way. Could you imagine how fun Attack/Defend would be under those conditions?

Anyways, that's enough getting myself excited about a game that will never exist....

Just make it a wave co-op. kinda like mass effect 3 did. some small objecttives in between normal waves. little bit of randomness is it. maybe give some random item like a weapon or equipment if you get a high enough wave.
adds a bit of replayability to it. they could even use the maps we already have

I believe you are envisioning more of a single-player campaign played co-op. Russ did mention a campaign in a town hall, so you're not exactly wrong. I don't think it would be quite like you are thinking, though.

But there are a lot of co-op multiplayer campaigns that do not get stale. Diablo II and III and Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 are both campaign co-op games and well-enjoyed even years after their release.

Other co-op multiplayer games, like Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition, have less campaign-like play and are more randomized, and they are still fun after hundreds of hours, too.

I know. Remember how much they charged for Community Warfare? Outrageous.
