It was a tough nut to crack because you had to survive. About half my wins were disqualified because my mech had been destroyed. Removing the survival requirement but upping the required number of matches seems fair to me.

Yep - I think I selectively blanked that condition from my mind as it was soul destroying to get the kill/assist/win and then get popped by one of the last few mechs on the field ....lol

If you have to get one kill with each mech in CW to get the points...Everybody who dies without killing, even if he has 3 mechs left, will just dico and play public till he can drop again. Not a nice idea. Sorry.

That would be a great, especially as they dont have CHAMPION mechs until now !

Just in case you need a COUNTDOWN ( if you are from a different Time-Zone like me )
until the Like a champion Challenge is starting:
http://www.clans.de/brotherhood-of-randis
I have included the Challenge into our CALENDAR and highligted it in our NEWS

Soo.. does crf-3d(c) has any advantages over standart crf-3d?

No; it just collects XP 10% faster than the normal version.

Actually they upped the XP gain to 30% about a month or so ago. But yeah other than that there is no difference.

Humm I miss the "survive" condition ... but I guess that is kinda hard to have as a valid condition with CW in play (tho ti would make for interesting planetary assault matches :P

while I am confidant that I could complete this event I am going out about for the evening 30 minutes after the event is due to start, and it finishes before I am likely to be home from work on Monday, I doubt I will recive the Mech, I will probably spend 6-10 hours playing over the weekend split between Saturday and Sunday if I get the Mech great but I am not planning to specificly go for it.

this is a good idea but it will require dedication or luck to get the Mech, reducing the point requirement or leaving the event open for a full week would make acheving the reward more plausable for the average player.

Yeah, this is too long.... W/L is very hard to influence even with lots of kills and assists, to I'd have to play roughly 50-60 matches to get just the 30 win condition... Plus a few more if I miss a kill here and there. Over 3 days that's just a little too much for me since I'd also like to go out and meet friends and play some tennis and whatnot over the weekend! Over a week this would have been great though!

It would also be great to have a little bonus for a great game, i.e., 2 or 3 points possible to get if you get 2 kills or 3 kills perhaps.

Well I got the Victor last time...was a pain, but I did it. How hard could this one be. Plus I don't have any CTF's yet so this will be good.
I'm basically saving up cash for mods now anyway, which is a grind, so the challenge will mesh with that nicely.

Although I was planning on ripping part of my car apart this weekend to replace a component. I'll get started on the challenge when I get home tonight, so I can have time later in the weekend for the car.

My wife will not be happy. ;)

Doesn't look so bad.

Actually, the "To The Victors" Challenge made sense to have a survivability requirement; you don't "win" a battle if you die, do you?

At least this challenge won't force people to move timidly...I hope.

It's good that they got it right the 2nd time, this scoring system will undoubtedly not lead to as horrible gameplay as the Victors challenge did where everyone with a kill started playing Catch me if you can.

Yeah because people playing "Leroy Jenkins" to get their 1 kill and 1 assist is really going to make teamplay better ... at least "survive" + "win" had people learn to play in a more realistic way. I saw a lot more teamwork happen then in any event.
