I would love to get the mech as much as anyone else participating (free mech with free mechbay? why not?) but the matches currently occurring are the worst I've played since the last time kills and assists both matter for the qualification, only made worse by having to win instead of just a match score.

My win percentage in solo queue is roughly 50% (MM working as intended?) but now my matches since this event started have been hovering around a 23% win ratio. Even worse is on those wins only 33% qualify because even when about to get a kill all of a sudden 3-4 team mates show up and alpha it, bringing it to a 7.7% qualification rate. This will result in me needing to play roughly 390 matches to qualify statistically. Having roughly a day and a half to play in this event, I'm tempted to just give up now with those odds.

Can we at least go back to 1 Kill + 1 Assist + X Match Score? Those were at least possible.

Indeed. I have just played 10 of the worst rounds ever. Horrible teams, stupid play, suicide tactics. It's awful every time one of these events comes up.

I've definitely noticed that there's a lot more games which scores are 12-(4 or less)...

Just popped out of one that was 3-12, and it's because all our team did was run away from the enemy on canyon.

Took me 80 games to finish. In the beginning I only qualified about one in 5 games, so I thought I would need to play 150 games!
Luckily I just had a bad streak at the start.

I think the matches play out like usual to be honest. I saw no difference (except that I tried to avoid landing the killing blow if we were winning and I already had a kill).

I was thinking that after I read the first post. :)

Solo queue is a lot worse right now in my opinion. People instead of just fighting stop and go to poach a single kill while the enemy team obliterates the half of the team that didn't chase a solo mech. Its happened outside of the event before, but now it seems to be every match. At least for me, win or loss averaged out to be 1-4 kills with most mechs, now its hard to even get a single one cause of that.

Instead of trying for one out of twelve possible kills in the public queue, why not go participate in Community Warfare where you have 48 chances to get a kill?

I've had a couple of games and been getting damage when I was keeping out of the open, had some team mates behind me sniping with AC2's right into my back. Also some of the lrms mechs shoot them even when your in front of them, the IS ones at least are no damage.

Not killed any team mates yet from stepping in front of me while I'm shooting but I can see it happening.

Because you get far more chances to get kills when you are actually playing the game instead of waiting.

Yea... was hoping to encourage more people to get in Community Warfare queue for just that very reason, Major Tryhard

These challenges forces people to simply leave once it hits 5-0 or so kills. Zero reason to stay and waste your time.

It's because of the kill requirement.

I have had teammates die jumping infront of my full alpha so they can get a kill. Its funny, but makes wins hard.

CW is actually worse for this event because kill or not, you have fewer chances to get that win than public queue even in a 12 man. (which is the only viable way to get a win regularly as pug CW has been a horrible experience for me)

60 games played
21 qualifying matches
40 wins, 20 losses

It's been a pretty good weekend :)

23 matches (7 have at least 1 kill)
8 wins (4 have at least 1 kill)
4 qualify

It seems to me that both Winning and getting a kill are the hardest thing to get together.

i see people simply logging out of the game when their team goes down by 3 or 4. Might as well i guess.
