As we all seem to be taking this roleplay business seriously, the only planet left to attack is the CGB one. Get over it. Either play the game or not, your choice.

So CGB should wipe out your faction simply because we are stronger and we can? We are better than this, sad to see you (not your faction!) are not.

I'm rather intimidated by the CGB epeen slinging. I'm pretty sure if you could obliterate CSJ you tried. And I am also equally sure that all the comp units will swarm to CSJ the same way they did when you tried that to FRR.

Nonetheless, nice to see you stick by your principles (in a game huh!?)

I think what he is saying is that the Jags only other option when DC worlds get swallowed up is us.

What are you talking about? You went to grab an extinguisher when there was no fire. Also to get your facts straight we did not TRY anything with the FRR, we DID it. Secondly what comp teams decided to Mighty Morphing Power Rangers & unite did not matter because we still have the biggest chunk of IS space in our teeth & EVERYONE, (IS & Clan) has said so on the forums. Third, at least TWO of the biggest merc units CHOSE to fly our sigil & either took new worlds or defended the ones we already had, so we will not be losing any sleep over the "swarm".

Think before you type.

Lastly, I will tell you what I told the QQ guy who talked a bunch of bullshit as well:

If the DC is as weak as you say, then TAKE IT. Take the whole State, head southward & position yourself for Terra. Why go left when you can go down & take Terra?

I think the point you are missing is that CSJ is taking the DC, it's just that they accomplish that quickly every ceasefire leaving them with 3 choices:
  • Wait for an IS force to attack a Clan world (not that frequent)
  • Attack the only other planet available, CGB
  • Not participate in CW
That is were a lot of frustration is come from. These ceasefires are good for the general plot of going for Terra, but they close off chances for people to actually play CW.

RP units cannot possibly expect people, mercs or pugs, to choose NOT to play the game mode we've been waiting 2 years for, just so that the Inner Sphere will be somewhat closer to the way you think it ought to be.

If you think you can tell us what to do, you are selfish and your efforts are futile and doomed to failure.

Choosing to honor an agreement with CGB to secure a border and best position BOTH Clans for the drive on Terra IS "playing the game." Just not playing by your expectations or rules.

To be honest, this may be less the case when there is no other planet to take, but in other cases like mercs poking Bears/Wolves, i think it is the other way around. Selfish people hiding behind the "i can do my own thing" decide to ignore alliances, stir up trouble, sow distrust and discontent, to not help their faction and distract their allies.

In cases like this, though, as long as there are no other targets and only pugs are attacking planets of allied Clans, it should not be a great issue to keep them at bay :)

No. If you choose to limit yourselves that is your business. Yesterday in accordance with Operation Clan Unity, I fought in campaigns to defend Jade Falcon & Wolf worlds. You can secure your section then keep your warriors' skills honed by fighting random campaigns.

Is this in response to Dracol's post or mine?

Yesterday there may have been inbound attacks from the IS, but what about days prior when the IS were not mustering enough pilots to launch any attacks?

Then the Clans attack IS-worlds and wait for LFW, FS and CC to help the other three out. What's the problem?

And when CSJ have their 1 IS world at 100% conquered soon after ceasefire, what are they suppose to do then?

just quoted him to show a similar thought, i agree with him.

Now for anyone who balks at the chaos of mercs attacking factions you had "ceasefires" with, remember that you negotiated a ceasefire on behalf of an entire faction which potentially has hundreds/thousands of members that you do not lord over.

Also remember that at the townhall meeting russ essentially said "let there be eve" with regards to player politics, so they saw this coming.

Suggest to PGI to give every faction 3 or 4 attackable planets during each cycle. Problem solved.

suggest away, it solves no problems. We're concerned with the here and now, not what might possibly (but most likely wont) happen around the corner. We wont choose not to play CW just because it bothers YOU. at this point im almost motivated to play it BECAUSE it bothers you.

Idk who thinks they negotiated ceasefires with a faction as thats never been possible. Reasonable people understand that you cannot control, only influence, in games like this and we have only ever worked towards agreements with other units and unit blocs.

Smoke Alliance itself is only a group of people building consensus on the occasional issue and driving on.

There will always be outliers and those with differing agendas. You influence through support or nonsupport, simple as that. If your impact is too minimal to engender the response you want, you adapt or die out.

You coud potentially have 9 or 12 planets switching faction each day, that sounds a bit extreme :o

Each faction should have the same number of planets to attack. Make it 3, 4, or even five, but regardless of how many factions you border, you should still have the same number of attack lanes. So CGB could have Kurita, FRR, Wolf and Jag, while Jag has Bear and 3xKurita. That would be the "fair" way to do it (and note I am suggesting something that would actually hinder us Bears in comparison).

This senseless squabbling is all because certain roleplaying parties have gotten their knickers in a bunch over a violation of a treaty that only certain parties agreed to. Then they proceed to make a big fuss over it, not giving a damn about people who just want to play mechwarrior.

Wait.. That's right! This is battletech simulator: Cw edition! We are making sure we follow the events of canon right?

Ps: I'm kidding. Not that I expect any stuck up roleplayers to get it.
