Why Exactly Are Macro's Allowed When By Definition

Honestly, macros don't do anything that really breaks the game balance. If you fire a group of Ballistics faster, they also heat you up faster. Fire lasers faster, they heat you up WAY faster. The only thing a macro does is make what's already possible, easier to do. You can already space your lasers out so a cluster of LLas doesn't trigger ghost heat. We already have a chain fire system. Macros just do it better than people.

I'm out of practice with my "row throughs" on my Naga, but there's 6 fire keys repeated...with my right thumb
Get Imba.

I can row through 1 through -= in under a second and a half, when I'm in practice. I'm out of practice though since MWO isn't as cooldown intensive as STO was. Which I played WITHOUT macros, and still out performed macro users regularly.
What should MWO ban my naga too since I have a distinct advantage over you keyboard fire key bound slugs?
How the hell can you hit 1 button on that thing? Girly hands?

I think the main solution would be to allow players to set their own chainfire delay in the mechlab, so that many macros would just become obsolete in the first place. Also, allow us to Group-Chainfire, which should be self explanatory.

Use the edge of your thumb rather than the meat. I use the very front edge of my thumb, or the very front edge of the side.
I've actually got fairly large hands. They were schooled on console gaming, and alot of practice getting my fingers into tight spaces on cars.
The ideal spot on the original naga (which I have) at least for my thumb to hit the buttons is the right around directly beneath the front center edge of the nail. Or the inside corner near the edge of the nail.
It just takes a little muscle training and memory. I spent hours (about 2 all told) when I first got it practicing "row throughs" in word pad or notepad. Going through the #s as fast as I can. Everytime I made a mistake I'd start all over.
It's also worth noting, the 2014 and up nagas are bigger on the keypad and overall as well. They also have better polling rate, and DPI along with more secondary features than the original. I haven't bought a new one yet to replace mine, cause so far as I've seen they don't have any new blue ones yet. They're all green, or Red.

I don't use them myself and I don't see an issue. My opponent still has to aim before firing the macro. Good luck with that. Skill in this game isn't determined by mouse clicks. Anyone can do them. Getting those mouse clicks to land/stay on target while maneuvering is where its at.
No macro is going to help with that.

You don't. The Naga is extremely awkward. Even Razer says it is and supplies 'training' stickers for you to get used to it. When I used one, I typically only used 1, 3, 4, 6, 0 (10), and = (12) on there. After about 6 months the mouse utterly died.
I switched to a Logitech G600:

The extra buttons are larger and shaped differently like keys on a keyboard. Made it much easier to hit the right button and to hit only the button I wanted. And being Logitech, its not as cheaply made as a Razer product.

And "syncing" gauss with PPC... man that is like 2 buttons, you just press and release, simple finger movement, you dont need a macro for that. How do you even play if you can't use 2 buttons on your mouse at the same time?
And for the staggering fire, yes a macro will give a smoother chain fire but you can do it by hand. All guns in group 1, and then 2,3,4,5,6 get a single one. now you faceroll from 2-6 and after that press and hold 1. And done.
Seriously macros can make it a bit easier to DAKKA but in terms of damage that is even worse than group fire. Surpression is nice, though.
And that MG macro... lol no way.

I never even used the stickers with mine.
And I've not had any problems out of my naga. The early models iffy but they worked the bugs out -years- ago. I've had mine for almost five years now.
Nothing against Logitech, but I've found their mice not quite as ergonomic. I love their keyboards, and still am using my G110, but their mice, aside from the old G5 never really felt all that great in the hand. And I think the concave shape of the logitechs buttons seems counter intuitive. I've not tried their "answer" to the Naga yet.
It's all in how you hold the mouse. If you try to meat hand it, no you aren't going to hit the buttons correctly. But then you aren't going to be all that precise either.
My Naga outlasted my G5, and quite a few other logitech mice I've had around on other pcs over the years.

That's essentially telling you, that it is probably one of those cases where a macro can achieve something a human player can not and it is therefore not allowed, as per the rules about macros. If you are cought using it, it is a punishable offense.

I'm sure, this is one such tactical advantage if it actually works.
