I think it's a decent Clan 'mech. It's the fastest omnimech available at this time while packing a decent punch.

Why would decent ones need a sale to convince people it is worthwhile to buy them?

It's actually a really good clan scout. I've had some good 700+dmg games in them with loads of scouting bonus.

The clan mechs always go on sale for 15% off before they are available for non-preorder purchase. I'm assuming that's what this is, although I can't be sure; I can't find the release dates for any of these mechs anywhere on the website...

The Ice Ferret is a good mech, but not a great mech. I suggest 2xERLL + 1DHS as the loadout of choice. Play like a 2xERLL Raven on steroids. I've had many 1000+ damage games with that config.

Release dates for the wave 2 mechs are in the wave 2 FAQ. and yes that is exactly what this is.

Just getting the 2nd pack level is just cheaper than buying it for MC.

Even then, it would be a massive disappointment.

If you're going to splurge with real money... the Hellbringer is worth it. Everything else... lol no.

it's still inferior, because of the raven having better hardpoints than the ferret.

the biggest advantage may be people ignoring this mech for longer time on the battlefield since nearly anything else is a bigger threat.

Funny how so many people say it's bad. meanwhile in a drop deck with 3 of them in CW I get more damage/ kills/ kill assist/ match score then anyone who runs timberwolfs and stormcrows...
