And like all those other times... That's fine :)

Max engine cap is "TBD", so I guess we'll see. 360 degrees torso twist is confirmed, however :)

360 is kinda fitting for the mobile turret that is the Urbie! :)

I don't believe in rewarding poor behavior by developers, or buying virtual things for real money. Like ever. I don't believe in forum hype by a handful of posters, that all they do is post on these forums all day, with post counts into the 10k+ range (if you people are professionals you should be fired). I don't believe in dumb BT internet memes, or poorly rendered youtube animations. I spent 40 bucks on sushi lunch today instead of order geometry from PGI, and my purchase was likely over 9000% more sound than the urbanmech.

So nothing useful to add to the thread then? Thanks for stopping by (not). I'll take my disposable income, order the Urbie AND some sashimi AND have a great day!

Well aren't you delightful.

You rush to judge people.
You make honestly bad assumptions.

Even Joseph there with almost 30,000 posts, has been on the forum for 3 and a half years, with an average of 24 posts a day.
That's hardly much, and it's not like people work 24/7.

Myself, I have almost 1400 posts, though I've only been active in the last year (half the time listed), so 5-6 posts on average a day.
Though a lot of those are pretty wordy.

I spend time in chat, I also browse other forums and chats.
I also play games, work a full time job, manage a house and spend time with my partner.
It's called time management.

Also, as much as I like Sushi, and I have spent close to £30 on it before, that was also full meals for 2 people....
And you know what - I'll be able to enjoy the Urbanmech, Camo, Modules and Cockpit Items a LOT longer than I did that meal.

On my wage, I need to spend roughly 2-3 hours enjoying my Urbies to justify the purchase.
I'll spend longer than that eliting them.

Additionally, rewarding what poor behaviour?

Delivering content on time?
Interacting with the community?
Improving the game?
Giving the community what they want?

Out of curiosity.... How many times do you get to eat said Sushi? Cause for half that amount, These guys will get to use the Urbie for hours. So unless that was $40 for endless Raw fish, they do get more use out of the game toon.

Second, I run CnC machinery for a living as a Skilled Tradesman. That means I put up with 4 years of degradation and schooling to push a start button. and check the part once the machine is finished 15 minutes to 3 hours from start. So long as I continue to produce the best parts My bosses are more than happy to over look my... typing.

The Urbanmech, while not exactly an 'optimized' 'mech in tabletop standards, is NOT the worst tabletop 'mech out there.

BEHOLD, the Locust LCT 1M.

Armed with a pair of LRM 5 launchers with one ton of ammo. That's it.

BUT WAIT!! It get's better!

The locust, in order to field this armament, had to sacrifice *THREE TONS OF ARMOR PROTECTION*...

Meaning, It had *ONE POINT* of armor on each leg, and each arm.

Yes. You read that right.

Machine guns tore this 'mech up. God forbid an LRM or SRM launcher landed a hit. Don't even get me started on the dangers that Small Lasers posed to this little abomination of a battlemech. If you were unfortunate enough to own or pilot this thing, I have one thing to say. Welcome to Crits-ville, population: YOU.

So before you start screaming that the Urbanmech is the worst 'mech out there. Allow me to say: Slow your roll there spark plug. There are WAY worse 'mechs I can pull out of the hat such as the Locust above.

<S> Hopefully that was somewhat educational.

Death's Hand Brigade Mercenaries

Devil's advocate here: This is a very specialized scenario mech and is supposed to have a ML with those thunders, which should be dropped in favor of a bit more armor. Speed and being behind friendlies as fire support (debatable) or IMO as part of a rear light scout/harassing lance would be doable. No one's first choice though, but MWO doesn't scratch the surface of BT as a whole.

I ate the sushi once, and washed it down with some hot sake. Delicious.

All aboard the urbie hype train, huh? Well, I hope the resources you people diverted from improving current systems, fixing issues and actually expanding the game was worth having (yet another) set of IS mechs, in demand completely because of Dumb Internet Meme Hipster Coolness. GJ community.

I bought the collectors pack for various reasons. Nostalgia being up there for my TT days of playing BT.

I doubt Russ or any other Dev is reading the many threads Urbbie has spawned but as noted Urbbie is an URBAN mech.

We so need a true Big City map. Not river neighborhood. One with Mega Scrappers, dark alleys, a big central park area. One where Urrbie can slip the leash and unleash unholy hell :)

You really do not understand that the mech designers are a separate unit from the other teams. the only time that the whole unit was tied up developing mechs was with the initial clan invasion (mainly because they had to invent how every system would work on them)

The only thing this delays is the Flea by another month.

No, no, no, don't you see? The art guys are the ones making the CW system, and the server techs are the ones designing the maps. The map team is the one balancing weapons, and Russ himself is the only one writing the net code!

Making the Urbie puts EVERYTHING ON HOLD! IT'S THE NEW UI 1.5! PLEASE STAHP!

..or not. Maybe circumvention is just a troll, and we've all fed it deliciously over the last few Urbie threads.
