Hello,
We need the ability to pause our premium time. Sometimes I don't feel well, and know I am not going to be able to play for a few days and will lose whatever balance on premium time I had.

Also for this weekend, I won the 3 day bonus time and now its counting down time I had banked from the Wrath pack. I don't want to use this time now, as I wanted to save it for when I received the Wrath pack mechs. If I end up losing this 14 days now, I just won't put any more time into this game.

This is a very frustrating situation and needs to be address quickly.

Every game I've seen that has a premium time option doesn't have a pause ability. I think this is on purpose. Since the game's entirety is free and people are only buying bonuses, it is hard to say that they need to hurt their income to let people pause premium time. WoT is an example of a game that needs a pause ability since playing above tier 8 on a standard account will drain your in game money. It's like you have to buy the end game to play it. This game doesn't operate that way. That is one of my few thumbs up for this game.

They might benefit from taking a page out of Planet Side 2 and let people buy premium time in 12 hour increments up to 72 hours and then 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and higher if necessary. (And put running tallies on these!)

They might also look at Netflix's vacation mode where you can pause the subscription up to like 6 months without canceling but you have to leave it paused for a minimum of 3 days so that it is not abused on a nightly basis.

It is a frustrating thought to lay in bed, ill or otherwise, and know the time is ticking away but this really is a good compromise from the old subscription payment methods EVERY MMO had for a while there.

I would be willing to trade in 30 hours of premium time (unpausible) for 3 hours premium time (pausible). Similarly, I'd be happy if I could activate my premium time one day at a time.

You *can* buy premium time in small amounts. However, if you got 90 days as part of a bundle *you have to activate* it to use any of it. Some of us can't play more than one week a month... so 90 days ends up being maybe 6-12 hours...

That's where a "vacation mode" would be very useful.

I did NOT activate the 14 day time yet it is counting down. I'ts wrong of game to activate time by itself. If I'd known that winning that 3 day time would had activated my 14 day as well. I would had skipped this weekend. So we either need a pause or they need to stop it from counting down.

Ah, yes, you chose to activate it by cashing in your timed reward. Since it is free premium time, it's their discretion as to when and how it is activated. In this game, anything involving premium time is immediately and automatically activated. I first thought when I bought a mech pack that I could choose when to activate the premium time, but the moment I bought the pack was when it was activated. That is the only area I disagree with since certain packs are available for a limited time and I am paying real money for the mechs of that pack while they are available. Premium time under these circumstances really should be up to the discretion of the purchaser or sell a variant of the pack without premium time.

See my post here for support of this idea: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4119170

I agree with this idea. I work full-time, so when I get awarded premium time on a weekend I'm working, I lose 24 full hours...not counting sleeping too. :/

Ah yes, this is the reason I completely stopped playing after closed beta. The was still in its infancy and premium time would activate once you log in so I just stayed away for 2 years. So PGI missed opportunities to make more money from me during that time. If they added a vacation mode that you can do even once a month, it would be very helpful.
