I think I will use the Urbanmech far past May for fun. And getting someone to buy me something is never my intention and always unexpected when it happens, I can't force people to do things. Anyways, you are a party pooper. Good day.

I just arrived from work, and i'm undecided between the basic and collector packages... does anyone know if the collector will have those cool phrases in the skin? I'm willing to buy it, but i'd be disapointed if the final version has a plain skin (Do you remeber how cool the phoenix pack art was and how the (P) mechs look in game?)
I'm going to buy a spider-5k right now for an early Urbie-day celebration.

Actually, no one is being 'parted' from anything. Those of us who want it (which I believe is a far bigger 'subset' then you are willing to believe) are PAYING for something we want and to help support the game. If enough people do it, we get what we want.
If not - then we get our money back. So really, it is a no-risk situation. We either get a 'mech we are willing to pay for, or we get a refund.
And, for the record, I was willing to shoot Thell a gift pack this evening after work, as well. Because fun.
And Bishop, I better get a PM the day you set up your Urbie-Derbie.

Every person that dies to my Erbie will have to live with the shame for the rest of their lives!

Note: PGI, if you make the warhorn sound like the cake from the Little Rascals, I'll buy 5 more right now.

One of the first too, the only thing that slowed me down was paypal clearing.
Purchased within maybe 2 minutes of it going live...
Maybe I have a problem.

I was thinking today that the Urbie really needs Radar derp. Instant wood when I saw the premium package includes it. Good move PGI.

Of course, trust goes both ways. This is an Urbie, and I don't expect it to shine, but if it totally bites then I'm not going to be preordering diddly without more information in the future

Community note: if you dislike the UrbanMech, why don't you create an anti-UrbanMech thread? That way anyone who feels like venting can have a place to let off steam without annoying anyone, and the elements of the community who supported the implementation of the UrbanMech can enjoy overcoming the next hurdle in its development without irritating you in return. Everyone wins!

Give it a rest ******.
The extras alone for the $40 pack are worth it, you get the Urbies for free. 3 mech bays, 60 days of premium time, 2 modules, and 3 warhorns and 10 cockpit items.
Plus, the page specifically mentions trying to make the mech viable. Is it going to be a doomcrow or a thunderwubs? Probably not, but my bet is that you and your ilk are going to be crying to PGI come April 7th to nerf the Urbie because you didn't get one.
