Actually it doesn't do anything, I just see the MWO logo and that's it. And after a very long wait time there's an error message with a timeout or so...

DNS problems again? For the record, I already use google DNS (8.8.8.8) and flushed my cache.

Just a couple of questions - do you have the UAC prompt disabled in Windows? Also, did you install the game to the default location, or a specific one? Finally, what's your OS?

UPDATE - Oh, one last last question - virus scanner?

But I stil have the exact same problem. I deactivated my virus scanner for testing purposes. Task manager labels the clieant as "inactive" and remains there until I stop the process.

Are you able to apply the patch successfully using the Repair Tool?

right now, it has closed the loading screen 5 times

it will not let me use it, it won't highlight it whenever i put my cursor over it

I have stopped the patching and i am now using the repair tool, i will tell you what happens

Get stuck the the MWO logo as well:

Win 7 SP1, 64bit
Eset, tried turning virus and firewall off, nadda.

I also deleted the patch folder just in case (backed it up) and three things appeared:

PatcherPatch_30.zip.ab89226f06c37967547f235a395de9b2
patchfiles (empty folder)
patchedfiles (empty folder)

and it eventually times out and asks if I want to retry. 10-15 mins? didn't time it

Hope that helps

Edit: Hit retry after I submitted this and I was let into the patcher. *shrugs* i dunno on this one.
