Making The "best" Out Of A "bad" Situation? (Clan Reinforcement Builds?)

The TBR-D is indeed nice, and who doesn't want a Flying Whale?
But for the most part, you get...maybe one single location pod that is decent...and in many cases not even that (looking at you, Summoner). And oftentimes they are redundant or ignore the glaring flaws in the design (Gargoyle and Mist Lynx, anyone)
Still, the joy of the mechlab means that we can still scrape some diamond in the rough, and I have found a few fun builds to try.
My new Go-to Mad Dog build:
but this could get wicked......
And a fun http://mwo.smurfy-ne...6b8b32d06cf13be
and a nasty little point defense KFX-S
lead the pack for me. How about you?

Either they give us some out of timeline 'pods, or these mechs will never compare to other options. Lynx being one of the worst offenders, which could be made into a veritable glass cannon.

BUT.... I really had the illusion of seeing the Lynx config F: 8 energy hardpoints.

When that happened I don't remember them saying it was a nerf directed at any build but more a move to "fairness" towards teh Nova and Summoner--if they had their JJs locked so would everyone else's.
Instead, the qqers rejoiced on the forums over the death of one fairly niche build and I remember telling some of them to laugh all they want because the Timberwolf D is coming. D and the A have been in the client a long time.

or

as far as hard points go, there are no out of timeline pods because they are omnimechs. They can just make up some omnipods with the hard points we want and call them Clan Diamond Shark special order omnipods and throw them in the store for c-bills. They could then unlock endo steel so the bad clan mechs have a chance to compete.
They could do all of that, but instead they are making a troll mech with 360 degree rotaion.

Masakari pack, 240, expensive, but you got 3 variants of each and a lot of extra stuff. If they had released a Clan reinforcement pack with a better price and A la carte options would be awesome, but no, clans always with these stupid price points... no money for you this time PGI, I will be waiting for then when they come available for Cbills now.

Don't let Bishop hear you saying that he'll call the Deputy to come & arrest you
In seriousness though, I think thats what stings me the most about this. The urbanmech is *such* a good deal. Theyve really gone out of their way to make the package decent value.

and judging by the posts and excitement that troll mech has generated, seems like a good financial idea on their part.

The 4xMG builds appeal to me as well. I can design a fairly decent fighter fox with 4xMGs.
I'm assuming there will be some kind of negative to using the arm over the Prime one?
Edit: Via smurfy, it appears to be slightly reduced movement, like the other C arm. If you like MGs, it's well worth it.
ARM MOVEMENT ANGLE (PITCH): -5.00
ARM MOVEMENT RATE (PITCH): -5.00 %
ARM MOVEMENT RATE (YAW): -5.00 %

Uh You left off Boreal and Sulphurous and pretty much the game mode that should be taken in to account for balance.
