Do not forget, mates, that NBT-HC has a lot of RP written by the various Clans and IS factions. It is as good a place to start as any. If you have the time, find the material that features your preferred clan and read it all. Then, read the RP of that clan's allies. Then, read that RP of their rivals.

That or just start at the top and work your way down.

We, the remaining current and active members of CBS, have found the MW:LL CSJ group to be decent blokes. Nobody else fields more than 3-5 members. As a suggestion, I recommend that members of the Clans not in the INvasion make up a galaxy of one of the ones that are and preferably one of the four Clans your clan will ultimately have an alliance with when you clan makes an appearance.

Remeber also that there is nothing that says the Homeworld Clans cannot be fighting far away while the invasion proceeds. Preparing for their time "down South".

Our Clan Wolf has been around for enough years to be validated on its own. We're not interested in being absorbed by anyone, whether it be a combination of Wolves or a single declaring their supposed supremacy, however we are open to negotiations. We would be happy to form some sort of communication for future teamwork when Operation Revival commences, and we hope that all discriminations and belittlement stop. Our current site is under construction, but you can find us here and here. If you need to contact us, just drop me a message.

There will not likely be any one group who will be able to lay claim to a Clan name, according to the Devs. Unless a planetary league pops up somehow/time, "You" will have to be content portraying a component of your preferred clan. This actually permits a lot of independent action with no responsibility to a Khan or GC.

I know, which is why we refuse to join a Clan Wolf ran by different people. My post is merely a preemptive message directed to certain comments on this forum and personal user made Clan forums, comments that were putting one user's Clan on a pedastal and calling others' dezgra. Some people in this thread probably do know a little something about their leaders' comments.

Well, the way to proceed then is to call yourselves not "Clan Wolf" but something along the lines of - the XXth Whatever Wolf Assault/Harrasiers/cluster/binary/trinary - in your eyes, you are still part of the Clan Wolf but with a VERY specific identity AND, most importantly, a command structure answerable only to yourselves.

There are not any of us who can be the whole of a Clan in MW:O, particularly since only four will be represented at the onset of the Clan Invasion. We in what remains of the NBT CBS seem to be the only ones who want to be part of that clan so we have kinda preempted the faction. If anybody else CBS comes in during a game which could feature CBS, then, well, "that will be an interesting day", and we will discuss things rationally within the context of that game.

Seconded Gremlich. I made the suggestion that each group call themselves by a sub-unit nickname which keeps the canon rule at bay & also keeps each specific unit together with their own hierarchy. Nobody can be THE Clan "ABC".

Keep in mind while you "refuse to join a Clan Wolf ran by different people", other people are thinking the same way of your unit.

Our Clan is already made unique in its branding, as all recruiting threads, our main Clan account, website and forums all showcase 'USA' somewhere in the name. That was not part of the issue with other users.

No doubt, which is why I haven't been harrassing anyone else claiming the name. We've already recruited 4 new members, and with 100,000+ registered on these forums and climbing, there will obviously be plenty of members for everyone.

Long story short, we're going to be calling ourselves Clan Wolf. We've been Clan Wolf since MW4 Veng, and we kept that name until Veng finally shut down. It's just a game, if you want to call yourself something, do it. As long as no one is going around claiming to be part of one of what will probably be many Wolf clans I don't think we'll have any issues. Hopefully that means we can all be part of some kind of alliance, but if not oh well.

And there is the problem. You are not only going to have problem in MWO as you cannot use canon names, you are another Clan Wolf which means there is going to be disputes over who is the REAL Clan Wolf.

Pretty funny, everybody I talked to insisted that they stayed the Khan's of their respective Clans.

I hope that MWO will bring us all closer together to form a strong Touman.

Just a heads up, we're aware that the CHH-Gamma website is down...the person who had been maintaining it is difficult to get a hold of at the moment, so it may be a few weeks before it is returned to service.

That said, there are several of us still active, so we are not a defunct unit.

We never claimed to be the true Clan Wolf. There is no true Clan Wolf that is based online as a gaming community. Clan Wolf is in the books, and that's as far as real goes. As for canon names not being allowed in MWO, that doesn't concern us. If Clan Wolf USA isn't enough to get by, we will still have our own websites and members. All that matters is who we recognize ourselves as, not others' views.

As Archer said, we wouldn't be against working together. I'm sure some people would view us as a Cluster and not a Clan after that, but that's okay. It's not so easy to destroy a decade old identity.

Then you are going to have some problems within the player community. Being pigheaded does not help your case.

MW:O is a game placed within the BT-milieu. Your group, as part of Wolf, will be part of the major Clan playing on the periphery, having no impact on canon events. Canon fiction will play out as we play our individual scirmishes. Nobody says you cannot be Clan Wolf USA outside of the game, you cannot be Clan Wolf within the game - you can only be part of Clan Wolf - no Khan, no saKhan, just commanders.

As far as CBS is concerned, I am not Khan nor am I entitled to the Bloodname I earned elsewhere. (which I trying to get removed) That identity is outside of MW:O and is, for all intents and purposes dead unless a new planetary league pops up and we gain the Clan Name before anybody else does.

@Gremlich

Please do show me where I was being pigheaded about not being the true Clan Wolf and wanting to not be harrassed by other members of the community.

We are Clan Wolf because we choose to be. No one can take that freedom of will away from us. In game or not, who we personally identify ourselves as has nothing to do with what is Canon, how the game progresses, or what other people think.

For all you people are concerned, we are Clan Diddley Doo Wop Scoobity Doo Doo Dooooo. It's just a name, and we are our own organization with its own structure and own members. People need to just quit being childish about a video game. None of us are part of anything canon.

It is the tone of your response, nothing more than that. well, maybe this:

@Gremlich

My views and opinions haven't changed from the first post I made in this thread, nor has my attitude. If I was being pigheaded, it would look something more like this, "WE ARE THE TRUE CLAN WOLF ALL WILL TREMBLE BEFORE US" etc.

-- But if you want to keep making issues of little things, like what we call ourselves, or your quote of me that looks something like a Bible verse, I can certainly get to that point.

I've been at this since the mid to late 90's, I think that it's time to press the reset button and have everybody start from square one again.

Everybody would get the same chances at gaining rank or bloodnames.

Who knows, maybe we'll create a Clan council with bloodnamed warriors from various boards and form one big Clan once we become a more tight-knit faction.

Get to know some of your fellow Wolf warriors, I'd march straight into battle with guys like Jaroth Winson, NagaoftheWards or Phelan Kerensky if they ever needed a extra warrior to fill out a star.
