I will tell you what I know, a substantial number of players have multiple accounts. This is fact in most games that have "die hard" dedicated players. You have one account for fun, and another that is serious for stats and e-penis measurement. I would say one quarter or of this forum have multiple accounts, just a guess because I really do not care. More important things to cry about for now.

and now? nice speech daddy.

but what you wanna affect with that? Those who do this stuff, know what they do and they do it with full intention, and they would just read your stuff laugh and probably just for funs do it even more.

Firts I thought I missed the point of this thread, then I figured out, there seems to be none.

You don't seem to realize that it is quite easy for a large well-organized group to coordinate enough of its members to create faux accounts and faux factions to be able to game the system, if they so desired.

I'm not saying that it is happening, or that it is rampant if it is, I am only pointing out that this issue does not involve ONE person creating 24 faux accounts, or just ONE person creating N number of accounts: it is a matter of coordinated efforts amongst 12 or more people that can easily game the system.

Quite easy to do with enough people, and it is just the thing I would expect from Goons or like-minded people, and there is no shortage of them in MW:O. If you think otherwise, you are simply either astoundingly naive or purposefully obtuse.

Well what exactly can you do about it though? Is it really that big of a problem that PGI should ban alternate accounts? To be clear I have never liked the idea of anyone having multiple accounts and I used the example of Wargaming banning alternate accounts in World of Tanks to support my position that it only hurts the game to have divided loyalties. However I believe Wargaming no longer bans alternate accounts. Nevertheless I still believe it harms faction play so I would never support it and I would never do it myself.

What I would like to know is how they were able to convince PGI to split their accounts, if that was indeed what you were saying?

I used to spend days poring over the ip reports for Red Alert two tournament rankings, so I could disqualify people who were playing each other all the time to subvert the tournament system. It wasn't totally rampant, but it was at the top and as such, we had our own version of the rankings, where I would DQ anyone I caught cheating and we gave a cash prize to the actual winner. Generally, the guy who won was not even in the top 30. (hostilegamers.com)
So, I am far from naïve in these matters.

However...
there is no tournament, no rankings, no prize, nothing to gain, beyond more cbills(and honestly, if you wanna cheat to get yourself more mechs, I don't see how that should bother other players any more than people paying money for things you paid cbills for) . None of this actually matters in terms that should affect other players. If people are actually doing this to flip planets, it will be super obvious and a simple database query will expose it. This is something PGI will handle on their own, in private, and when they do, people will just disappear and that will be the end of it.

OP needs to calm down and focus on something more important. Unfortunately, his past history of cheating makes him see a cheater behind every victory. This is typical behavior and to be expected, so don't hold it against him. ;)

Hey, I have multiple accounts. I must be cheating.

No really... Boosting is already a bannable offense, so what exactly is the goals of these duplicate threads?

Oh, and yes, I have a second account. It's got a single ryoken in it because I grind it whenever there's freebies like the stocking stuffer event. One day, it'll have three ryokens and a madcat I'll get to use it on the clan side of CW and do more than help them lose. Although, I must say, it was disappointing to find out that the stock ryo is pretty much the same as the modded one.

Clams are boring. If someone want to grind two accounts, pity the fool, don't hate.

The way that Darth thinks everyone who disagrees with him is guilty makes me think he's the one doing it. This would explain all those ghost drops against Laio. #stirringthepot

I specifically stated otherwise. The fact that you want to cast aspersions upon me as a person, as opposed to my arguments in and of themselves, is indicative of either your own guilt or lack of position (or both), not mine.

But please, keep it up, it is quite amusing, as are the funny pictures used by those trying to deflect the issue.

A picture isn't worth a thousand words, folks. Those cartoons only highlight what is lacking in your own imagination and vocabulary.

Where's your evidence?

Simply because something is possible does not mean it exists.

I'm arguing with you because you seem super bent out of shape and it's fun in the same way kicking snow in my dogs face is fun.

My dog is an idiot, which explains how the two interactions feel so similar.

You don't read good, do you? CENTURIES worth of amassed game play in dozens (if not hundreds) of similar games reveal the same issue, over and over, and this game is no different. People cheat. People will cheat, with whatever means possible. And it is easy to do in Mw:O.

And yet no one can address the underlying issue, only offer straw men as to why it seemingly doesn't or can't exist. You can deny it all you want, but it can exist, and it will exist. The issue is, how to mitigate. You just can't get over the hump of discussing the issue because you deny it exists.

Instead, straw men are dragged out alongside cartoons that have nothing to offer except canards, purportedly from those who deny, firmly and adamantly, that never shall the case ever be. Methinks ye protest too much.
