The Warhawk does it, too. With a whole lot of DHS the heat of the 4 ERPPCs ist manageable but sadly, the Thunderbolt made the PPC-Warhawk (and every other PPC-mech) obsolete. :/

Try the Awesome 8Q and the 9M. Those do fine as well but nothing can compete with the Thunderbolt right now.

Honorable mention goes to the AWS-8Q.

Same heat as the 9S's ERPPCs, but can mount more.

Lower mounted, though. Should have similar, or maybe greater velocity. 9S only has 15% to the 8Qs 25% boost, but 100M/s slower PPC travels speed. I don't feels like maths right now.

Same 25% quirk as the 9S and 4G, so yes?

4*.58=Well, almost. It's only 2.32 seconds.

If you like to go fast, the Cicada 3C has great quirks for ERPPCs, even though it can only carry one.

3 x .58 (25 for cooldown quirks, 5 for fast fire, 12 for module?, or 42% reduction) = 1.74 seconds

PPCs are still at 4 seconds; which goes to 3 with the 25% quirk.

Though to get the total cooldown, you do stock times the remaining% after adding up all the cooldown quirks. Doing 3*.83 gives a different result.

wow must have been a asleep at the wheel didn't pPCs used to be 3 second, same as medium lasers? (AC10s smash them even harder then in my sims)

so half a second slower.

Funny people still try to use weight and ammo to say the ac10 is inferior to PPCs. Realistically, especially in multiples, PPC is only "superior" in performance in mechs under 50 tons, because of lack of weight. 2.5 dps vs 4, and literally half the HS to Neutral of the PPC (12 vs 25)

Of course, quirks make merry hiob of all of this, so good luck keeping up. *feels a headache coming on*

Yes, but...I think it's been over a year. Awhile at any rate.

I dream of the day I log in and the WHK P is the monster PPC boater that earned it the nickname of "Masakari" by the DCMS......

Right now, I can come up with some nicknames for that loadout, but "Masakari" isnt it.

None, there are no PPC boats anymore. To much PPC heat for that ****.

And no, 2 or 3 of a weapon doesn't make it a boat.

Otherwise the spider 5V is a Medium Pulse Laser Boat. B)

to much heat, to slow velocity, and not enough damage to make it worth it. PPC should be hotter then hell.. Idk where PGI thought it was a good idea to let the 9s boat 3 of those things and then endlessly spam them 1.5x faster then other mechs.......

I see what you're saying, but at the same time the 9S works best with 2 ER/PPC plus other weapons rather then 3 ER/PPC.

3 isn't tactically good, just cute on paper and good when your 12 man all has them. Otherwise its not OP.

The 9S ERPPC is less heat than unquirked mechs 2 MLs; 7.5 heat compared to 8.

3 is a perfectly valid loadout.

Didn't say it wasn't valid, just there are better loadouts using 2 + other **** rather then just 3.
