Anyway how do you handle situations like these just curious. Usually I just stop playing for the day but I want to grind out these damn points so that I can get the rewards.

However, if you are feeling tired or sleepy, do take a break.

I'm hoping my luck will have changed when I get to play again next week.

Generally, though, if I'm feeling off for the time being, a break of a few hours tends to serve as a suitable reset button.

Best thing to do I have found is take a break for a while then comeback fresh in a good mindset. Slogging through sometimes works but I tend to bring the suicide habits along with me without a break.

How good your team and the red team is, depends on a lot of things:
- what the matchmaker is building
- how good are the other players (both team)
- how good is communication within the teams
- the bad decisions we all make from time to time are sometimes crucial, sometimes not
- what mech's the players have picked and if they are compatible with the map ("oh, snap - got my AC/20 Jager .. on Alpine... while all enemies have Gauss")
- how "awake" are the players at the moment; you have good an bad times
- (countless more factors)
So, the best thing you can do is try hard.
But never forget it's a game.
Stomps happen, and i personally don't even like them when MY team is the one doing the stomping.
Especially when some... ***** needs to humiliate the loosing team with some crappy comments.
I have the most fun when the teams are as equal as possible.
Battles that last for minutes.
I don't even mind dying, if at least i died in a fight, and not because i peeked around the corner at the wrong time and was insta-killed by the entire enemy team.
But this is only my opinion.
Regarding Double-EXP-Bonus:
If i loose, and it's very early into the game, i just hop into another mech.
I find that sometimes i have no luck with a certain mech, no matter how often i use it.
Then i will just skip it entirely.

In solo, Started at 130 am est and played non stop till 630 am est. 1 win with 1 kill the rest losses. The majority admitted they were on teamspeak. One was nice enough to say his faction was sponsoring the drops into solo.
Its not match maker. Its faction team players farming while they still can.
Don't tell me any of the usual stupid excuses. Everybody knows now. There is no honor amongst team players. none.

It's definitely made to reflect MWO mechs.
The mech on top carrying his team hard is an Atlas, with some various mechs like a Victor and upside-down Stalker getting carried. I also see a Cataphract and bits of a Centurion. There might even be an armless Commando thrown in there, I think? Potentially even a Blackjack. The little drones flying around are 3PV drones.
It was made by Alex Wolfe. All of his drawings are here: http://metalbabby.tumblr.com/
Not all of his art is MWO-related, as a side note.

I find it aggravating when that happens.
My solution has been to finish the current match, log off and shut down for a bit. 30 mins to an hour later, come back and play some more. Typically end up on the other side for a bit....
