When running dual AC20 on my King Crab I cannot rapid chain fire my AC20's.

I can fire them together, I can map them to different keys and fire them immediately after each other, but if I put them in a group on chain fire no matter how fast I mash the button they always have a .5 second delay between them.

Also tested with SRMs and other AC weapons with the same result.

Firing lasers on chain fire however allows you to activate them as fast as you can pull the trigger. This should be the correct behaviour for all weapons.

This is not a bay door issue, and the crab claws don't cause a noticeable delay.

As I mentioned I can map one AC to 1, and the other to 2, and then press 1-2 and have both fire immediately after each other.
However if I map them both to chain fire on 1 and then press 1-1 the second AC will not fire a immediately because the .5 second chain fire time hasn't passed. Same applies to SRMs (and possibly LRMs) but Energy weapons fire immediately as expected.

The 0.5 second delay is very useful because you can shoot as fast as possible without triggering ghost heat.

But sometimes you deliberately WANT to fire faster to make sure you hit the same spot or to get the kill or to make both shots go out before you/your target is back in cover etc.

He said he can shoot both together.

Are you firing something else in the background? One issue I've noticed is you can be firing MG's (for example) and then try to rapid-chain-fire something and it won't let you. Something about the way it's coded.

Are you saying that prior to the patch, you were able to use the AC20's in the way you described, and then after the patch you could not?

That bug was fixed a while back and made it's back in a few months ago. Basicaly you can't fire other weapons as long as you're chain firing or holding the trigger down(MGs).

If I use a different weapon group with both mapped or if I turn off chain fire. Neither of these things are helpful.

This is a seperate bug. When firing another group (MGs / TAG) lasers work the same way as ballistics/missles in that your cannot rapidly chain fire them.

I've never tried chainfiring ballistics before, but expected them to work in the same manner as lasers. Chainfire should be consistent for all weapon types
