If they had lost, the clans still would have had to smash the rest of FRR, Kurita and Davion space. They wouldn't have had to plead to anybody. There was 0 chance those nations would have just handed over the worlds.

But ComStar would probably be more worried about Terra, their home planet, quiaff?

Oh sure. Scorpion and The Battle of Tukayyid were all based on ComStar's fear of having Terra taken.

Just seeing how hard it was to take Terra from the WoBies, who weren't even all of ComStar, I don't know how easy the clans would have had of it.

At least ComStar did not have (as far as they have let us know :P ) nukes, or they were not willing to use them ;)

Oh I'm pretty sure Comstar had nukes. At the level of tech that Battletech is Nukes would be incredibly easy to build. Comstar was at Star League tech and had a naval yard and the ability to build Warships. Nukes? Bah... we can make those NOW. I shudder to think what sort of MWDs they'll have 750 ((2750 Starleague)) years in the future.

Project Wormwood is underway:

The Dark Born are considered using mass accelerators (aka asteroids) to destroy Terra so that people will no longer be concerned with the "jewel in the crown" in the IS and cause factions to split off into their own affairs.

We just need to get the Dark Ark close enough to perform this. ;) |-------> O Posted Image

Terra

What makes you think we want Terra? Canon? Developer shenanigans?

No, we're going to wrap around for no particular reason, and we're going to take what's left of Liao. If we don't hurry, there'll be nothing left. Terra's not going anywhere, we've got time.

Right now. I want to be optimist, i want to expect a surprise from PGI :)

This is PGI. The company that released the Clan mechs for sale without even a bit of 'fluff' writing. If Terra was available for attack, it would be no different than Tukayyid- just another world, possibly taken in the middle of the night. Any 'special events' would have to be planned and designed in advance and PGI is still implementing the basics of CW. Not to mention they won't be spending a few hundred thousand dollars on making some kind of unique map for one battle.

We have not had any or almost any merc help, and we have had almost all the comp teams focusing on us. Our warriors were bored of CW or burned out , so they took almost all of our planets with little fight. Then, we woke up and now we are pushing again with a much stronger and more united effort. We are taking planets and we are not pushing into the LC only because PGI.

It could have been worse at this point :)
