So, with the introduction of the Urbanmech (all praise his glorious perfection) the 360 degree torso twist will make its debut, which got me thinking (yes, dangerous precedent to set, I know). What other mechs, in your opinions, should see the 360 degree quirk added to their chassis?

My first instinct is to say it should be given to mechs which according to the lore and TT rules were capable of flipping their arms to shoot behind themselves. Second thoughts make me doubt that fist knee-jerk reaction though, because this would mean al mechs without lower arm actuators such as the Stalker, Locust, Jenner, Cicada, Jagermech and Catapult among those already in the game. Might it make some of them too poweful to give them this as compensation for the inability t flip arms in MWO?

There is a precedent for 360 Timber Wolf torso twist... or at least a 180 in video games.

Summoner 360 torso twist. I'm sure no-one will object to that.

I don't think we should just hand it out like candy to a large number of mechs. I think it should stay unique to certain mechs to add "flavor" and/or used as a balancing mechanism. For example, the mentioned Lolcust might be a nice candidate for it, because it suffers the natural issues of being only 20 tons...

The Space Pope thinks that only those mechs specifically and unarguably capable of 360 Torso Twist should have such a feature in this game.

While he sympathizes with the mechs that lack an ability to flip their weapons ingame (but are able to do so in the lore), he believes that such a feature should only be added directly through some sort of view switch when you flip said weapons and not a stop gap feature (360 twist).

It is an interesting concept. So how about this as a proposal. Have a strictly limited Mech module unlock, say cost 6 million C-Bills, and at least 5,000 GXP to get the module for three-sixty rotation for these mentioned Mechs. That way if a player wants to try it, they can, but otherwise not make this something that is across the board.

None. Only the Urbabmech.

Some mechs like the Catapult can have more extreme torso twist capabilities, but only the Urbanmech should have the 360° Capability.

The Annihilator in MW4 could twist 360 degrees.

Mind you, that mech is also pretty broken. I'm currently playing through again and I have 4 CLBX20 and 4 ERML loaded onto mine. Fun to 1 shot anything below an assault when I hit the CT.

The Summoner would benefit from this. Maybe Gargs as a config set bonus?

No, pults dont have 360 in mw4, but it could be deserving for them to have it here. Splat and Gausscats could be really nasty.

Locusts?

I would like to see how it plays before I consider any other mechs doing it.
