I was doing just fine today, and am still doing ok in games even when I lose usually doing over 500 damage regardless of chassis. Its just that I can't seem to get winning teams like i had a lord beat me 2 times in a row then when he was on my team we lost. Its like I'm infected with loser right now. :/

Anyway how do you handle situations like these just curious. Usually I just stop playing for the day but I want to grind out these damn points so that I can get the rewards.

Eventually your win rate will go up. Keep playing. Just use the heaviest mech you have, with the biggest dakka.

However, if you are feeling tired or sleepy, do take a break.

Take a break for an hour or so...come back and you'll have hopefully forgotten about it and gotten into a better frame of mind. Right now it sounds like you are worrying too much about the bad streak. Don't worry about it. They happen to all of us.

I've felt like this for the past several weeks.

I'm hoping my luck will have changed when I get to play again next week.

I've found that streaks are entirely random and unpredictable. I've had runs of low damage no kill losses interspersed with 5+ kill 500-1k damage wins with no discernable pattern to them, and I've had runs of high damage high kill wins interspersed with instagib no damage no kill humiliation stomps. Wins come and go, and the vagaries of fate can screw you over or make you a veritable demigod of mechwarrior skill.

Generally, though, if I'm feeling off for the time being, a break of a few hours tends to serve as a suitable reset button.

From co and btn, 3B ep opens, 4B shove anyone who 3 bets my ep raise....but actually you have to play and not care about the money, they're just chips. If you don't care about the money, you don't get tilted.

oops wrong forum...

But the message is still the same...

It seems to come in runs. I may have 10 or twenty matches where it seems balanced then the slaughter begins. In my view it correlates with times where most team guys get on like after dinner or schools out on the east coast. I will go twenty or more matches with just stomps. Then back to normal again. It really breaks your rhythm and you go off the rails too. Start making really stupid mistakes because you don't care or are willing to try the risky moves hoping for dumb luck. That's generally the case when some expert clown on the forums wants to frag me here for bad game play.

Best thing to do I have found is take a break for a while then comeback fresh in a good mindset. Slogging through sometimes works but I tend to bring the suicide habits along with me without a break.

What can ya do? Try your best every match, and try to bring something that has some punch so you can secure the kills to get the points.

It's hard to argue that that pic is virtually never useless and always appropriate.

As a PuG, I do not care that much for Win/Loss, but more about killing without being killed.

How good your team and the red team is, depends on a lot of things:
- what the matchmaker is building
- how good are the other players (both team)
- how good is communication within the teams
- the bad decisions we all make from time to time are sometimes crucial, sometimes not
- what mech's the players have picked and if they are compatible with the map ("oh, snap - got my AC/20 Jager .. on Alpine... while all enemies have Gauss")
- how "awake" are the players at the moment; you have good an bad times
- (countless more factors)

So, the best thing you can do is try hard.
But never forget it's a game.

Stomps happen, and i personally don't even like them when MY team is the one doing the stomping.
Especially when some... ***** needs to humiliate the loosing team with some crappy comments.

I have the most fun when the teams are as equal as possible.
Battles that last for minutes.
I don't even mind dying, if at least i died in a fight, and not because i peeked around the corner at the wrong time and was insta-killed by the entire enemy team.

But this is only my opinion.

Regarding Double-EXP-Bonus:
If i loose, and it's very early into the game, i just hop into another mech.
I find that sometimes i have no luck with a certain mech, no matter how often i use it.
Then i will just skip it entirely.

Heres tilt for ya.

In solo, Started at 130 am est and played non stop till 630 am est. 1 win with 1 kill the rest losses. The majority admitted they were on teamspeak. One was nice enough to say his faction was sponsoring the drops into solo.

Its not match maker. Its faction team players farming while they still can.

Don't tell me any of the usual stupid excuses. Everybody knows now. There is no honor amongst team players. none.

So why are you so worried how the team does when you had a good game? You pulled your weight. You did what you could. You have nothing to be upset about.

Been curious about that picture. Who made it and is it mechs or from some other game? It looks like mechs but I'm not 100% sure.

It's definitely made to reflect MWO mechs.

The mech on top carrying his team hard is an Atlas, with some various mechs like a Victor and upside-down Stalker getting carried. I also see a Cataphract and bits of a Centurion. There might even be an armless Commando thrown in there, I think? Potentially even a Blackjack. The little drones flying around are 3PV drones.

It was made by Alex Wolfe. All of his drawings are here: http://metalbabby.tumblr.com/

Not all of his art is MWO-related, as a side note.

It does seem to run in cycles and I end up on team dumb@$$ and the losing streak that goes with those perks.

I find it aggravating when that happens.

My solution has been to finish the current match, log off and shut down for a bit. 30 mins to an hour later, come back and play some more. Typically end up on the other side for a bit....
