This may have been answered somewhere already, but what is the purpose behind purchasing a Hero 'Mech?

They used to have a c-bill bonus (15% IIRC) but now nothing. Other then earning more XP (which I then am supposed to spend MC to convert to GXP??? After spending MC on purchasing the Hero 'Mech) what is the point behind them?

It would seem to me that purchasing Champion 'Mechs would be a much better idea/investment of MC.

Unique hardpoints, Misery is the Only stalker with a ballistic slot! And they all got their own quirks meaning they can be very good.
More mons!
some of them have awesome colors. But most of the time its more about the free mons and hardpoints!

Heroes get 30% Cbill boost? Champions get a (big whoop) XP boost.

Yes the other possibility is that I'm completely r e t a r d e d and have been looking at the XP portion not the c-bill side.
