[Alistair Winter]

To some of us, aesthetics is extremely important when it comes to choosing a mech. Maybe you'd play the Thunderbolt even if it was a Tier 6 mech, or maybe you would never touch the Trebuchet even if it was a Tier 1 mech.

Here's what I want to know:

• What's the most beautiful Inner Sphere mech in-game (not counting concept art, fan art, etc)
  
• What's the most beautiful Clan mech in-game (not counting concept art, fan art, etc)

For me, CPLT-C1(F) is the prettiest IS mech. Used to be prettier (Never Forget™). The prettiest Clan mech is the Hellbringer PRIME (I). It's an ugly kind of pretty, like an A-10 or AH-64.

IS:
Is either the Catapult C1(F) (Never Forget) or the Raven. Basically, if it is a chicken walker, I like it (except the Cicada, that things fugly).

Clan:
Still like the Timber Wolf. It is the best looking rendition since MW2 ( wasn't very detailed, but the model looked sleeker than many Timbys to follow).

Honorable mention:
I really like the Cougar. If it makes it into the game, it might usurp the Timber Wolf for Clan. It's not the quickest light I'm sure and it probably won't be very effective, but it looks so cool.

I agree with everything you said. If the TBR-PRIME (I) had the same arms as the HBR-PRIME (I), that would be the prettiest Clan mech for me too.

For me, the best looking IS 'mech is the Centurion. It just looks sleek and deadly. Almost like a shark.

The best looking Clan 'mech is and always has been the Timber Wolf. I'd drive it if was the worst 'mech in the game.

The updated artwork for the Centurion is amazing. Just like the Catapult, they took an awkward looking mech and made it look cool and menacing.

On a side note. I also like the Hunchback's design a lot in MWO. It is probably my favorite humanoid walker. It also still looks a lot like the original design. Very good job on that mech too.

IS: Dragon. Something about those hunched shoulders and the snout, combined with the unholy and different looks on these arms...

Clans: Mad Dog. Kind of a sleeker Dragon, chickenwalker, and from the looks of its legs it's wearing flares, nice touch!

i like pronounced hoods on my mechs.

Clan? Warhawk or Hellbringer. Warhawk if it had long guns

Id vote the Mad Dog, but it's got a very stubby appearance, and the short barrels and non-squat legs make it look odd.

it's strange, I love the Load out of teh Highlander, but never found the look appealing. Much like the King Crab & Orion.

Maybe it's because they subconsiously remind me of jet fighters, a design that we are well familiar with. Alex has done a really good job putting a jet fighter "head" into a mech.

Actually I'm still having trouble with the loadout, still tweaking my Highlander.... Ends up with 1x Gauss, 2x ERLL, and 3x SRM 4s.

I quite like the Highlander, but the tiny T-rex arms kills it for me. If it arms were a bit bulkier, it'd be one of my favourites.

Clan: I'm torn between Mist Lynx, Mad Dog and Hellbringer.

For the Clans, either the iconic Timber Wolf, or the Warhawk.

For IS, Dragon, hands down.
