I still think the Champion might be the way to go. IS needs more chicken walker mechs and less humanoid ones.

It's not actually, it's a "manwalker", just walks funny. Still could be a good mech choiche.

I'll throw in one IS, one clan from each class.

Lights
Venom (throw it in as a 35-ton spider variant)
Dasher (the only mech that has high mounted arm hardpoints AND can aim independently of torso)

Mediums
Assassin
Dragonfly

Heavy
Exterminator
Ebon Jaguar (Cauldron Born)

Assault
Annihilator
Executioner (Gladiator) (replace MASC with increased engine size or bigger TC until MASC is done?)

BONUS for if Cyclops were to be added: Give the Cyclops and Atlas. SATELLITE. UPLINK.
http://www.sarna.net...atellite_Uplink

Press "B". All enemy contact not under shelter revealed in a 1km radius in a similar manner to seismic sensors while Battlefield View is active. :P But unable to engage enemy.

MASC can work, the problem is for most mechs that use it, it breaks the game engine. the Executioner doesn't break the speed limit, so it could bring MASC>

Yes, but how do you deal with the random chance of leg failure?

Awe, I am dissapoint :(

Well, it does have the ship-like hull design. That's something.

Random chance increasing in likelihood to deal damage to the legs.

So 1% increasing over time, say 1% every 5 seconds using masc. If the game rolls saying it deals damage, it can just deal damage to the interior legs, maybe 1 damage.

Or they could just change it and make it start dealing 1 point of damage per second to the leg internals after 20 seconds of active MASC usage.

Can you imagine that model in MWO? You think catapult ears are easy to hit...

Oh, I'm sure they can streamline it a bit.

Inner Sphere:
Light: Wolfhound- Phelan Kell's Grinner could make a profitable hero mech.
Medium: Crab- complements the King Crab assault mech
Heavy: Black Knight- I still want to see the mech I voted for.
Assault: Hatamoto variants - Kurita faction mech, each have variety of hardpoints: Chi(energy/missile), Hi (pure laser boat), Ku(energy/ballistics). It looks cool. Potiential hero mech for Daniel Sorenson.

Clans:
Light: Fire Moth/Dasher- MASC Mech, personal favorite from Mechwarrior 2.
Medium: Shadow Cat- MASC Mech that doesn't mess with hit registration(130 kph /w MASC).
Heavy: Ebon Jaguar/Cauldron Born
Assault: Executioner/Gladiator- MASC Mech that doesn't mess with hit registration(86.4 kph /w MASC).

For the Clans it's pretty easy just fill in the 3050 designs we haven't had yet. That's at least 3 IIRC (Dasher, Dragonfly and Gladiator or Firemoth, Viper and Executioner if you prefer the Clan names)

IS still have plenty of cool mechs from 3039/3050 that haven't been released yet. If was to pick 4 from across the weigh classes it would be...

Light - Javlin - SRM boat with JJ
Medium - Crab - I would love to see the smaller version of the King Crab
Heavy - Lancelot or Black Knight - IS Laser vomit
Assault - Cyclops - Electronic warfare assault mech - quirked to improve ECM and Beagle probe

Yeah, it actually sounds like they're not really entertaining the idea of community requested mechs beyond the Urbie.

I will pay PGI to not add the Firemoth to this game.

If anything will ruin the immersion for me, it will be that horrible abomination of a mech.

I know, if PGI ever did go with a proper rescale of mechs, that mech is both very tall and weak as hell.....

Requires entirely new animation, game coding, balancing, and PGI says no quad mechs.

That's a pity, they would add such a refreshing new dynamic to game play.

I wouldn't mind the quads like the Scorpion or Goliath, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
