Case in point? That's right, you guessed it: LRMs! While spamming a distance-based, stream-effect damage attack every turn works well enough in a strategy-based board game, it does not make for compelling real-time gameplay. In fact, it is broken as all hell.
Example? Coordinated drop of narc-spamming nitwits backed up by four LRM boats doing nothing but sitting back and holding the left mouse button. Devastated my team within the first 4 minutes of the match, while they laughed about how much skill they didn't need, along with the usual masturbatory remarks about "tears."
LRMs are completely indefensible at this point. If you defend them, then you're just complicit in this kind of tomfoolery. That the game remains in the state that I left it months ago regarding these cheap, no-skill "weapons" is extremely sad, especially given the hard reality that a HUGE portion of the player base is very vocally upset about it and has been for a while now.
Just ridiculous. Do the devs *truly* feel that this crap is acceptable? Really? Because if so, they obviously do not play their own game.
