This is the thread to post your favorite Battle Armor and explain why.

It suits my preference for quality over quanity. It has 15 armor (15 armor + trooper) a medium laser, two anti-infantry weapons, and a Battle Claw. Plus a One-Shot SRM 2 (Infernos or Magnetic Pulse please. )

In a building, they can be a nightmare for Mechs. It might even be better to just use infantry against these guys.

My main concern is lack of Jump Jets and no Swarm attacks. That sucks. Swarm attacks is one of the main reasons one even gets Battle Armor.

One nice thing is that the Battle Claw can be switched to an Industrial Drill then Salvage Arm. Meaning they are great for digging out and grabbing salvage. I know salvage does not mean a darned thing to most players now, but I never turn it down. Having Battle Armor join the fray really help.

It's something of a Hellinistic mind's Battle Armor- which is so strange from the DCMS. Large, well armored, slow. Not ideal for a fast paced war of give and chase, but for those straight-forward battles and cramped conditions, this is what will work.

Those Medium Lasers are no joke for Battle Armor. Compared to even a Clan elemental, this thing is extremely powerful in its Mech-Class firepower. Against other Battle Armor inside a building, this will rip them to pieces.

I also know it is not in the rules, but I imagine a Mech-Class Fusion Powered Medium Laser lighting up the halls or rooms of a structure should basically just wipe out swathes of infantry. The rules don't seem to account for this sadly, presuming all infantry hit with a Medium Laser are scattered in terrain. In a hallway, that Medium Laser would utterly annihilate them (if I hosted a game, one house rule would be Mech weapons used INSIDE STRUCTURES against crowded groups of infantry have a MUCH LARGER EFFCT. )

I mean could you imagine a Gauss Rifle fired INSIDE a building? Or ER PPC?

That and the two anti-personnel weapon mounts.

It may only have one MP and no JJs, but Battle Armor tends to be relatively static anyways. For Uban Warfare this is a mean Mech Battle Armor Machine.

The grenadier. Because I was PASTED multiple times trying to get past a squad of them. Every single time it was because they KO'ed than killed my pilot with SRM spam.

Evil, those things are, in the right situation.

Fond of Rottweiler and Gray Death Infiltrator Suits. Not real big on Heavy and Assault class suits because you cannot get inside smaller buildings with them. A big mall or office building lobby sure, but you can't get them in the front door of your average house.

Shen Long Battle Armor is awesome. Stealth Armor, 4MP and quad Light Gauss make it a great unit for hanging around the edges of your battle line crit seeking damaged enemies. Plus they just look sweet as hell.

you can't hit what you can't see - simple the best BA - because it was the first with the VOID Mimetic system.
