Yeah, I know. Beta, blah, blah, blah. Working on new maps, 4v4 scouting, and other stuff.

That is fine and good, but the actual mechanics and timing of plane capture need to be changed too.

First, given the time required to amass and move an invasion force and secure a planet, I feel the map changes too fast. Second, only the matches right before the cease fire really matter.

My suggestion is stretch out the capture goals over a longer time frame and in stages. Numbers can be tweaked, but like maybe 3 hour blocks in which up to 2 sectors can be captured. Sector captures cam be based on total win ratio or some such. Captured/defended sectors move forward of course. (Are cumulative). X number of sectors required for planet capture in Z amount of time. (1 week, 2 weeks, 4 days, whatever). Maybe if attackers end a time block with no sectors after a set time (1 day, whatever) they lose early and forced off the planet.

The point is to make all sector wins in all time zones count. If no defenders show up maybe only allow one sector to change hands the first time period. Then both are open to avoid defense by not showing up.

When the small matches come in they can be worth one sector (with total sectors required increased).

Also, to make CW more "community" - work out an auto parser that gives a news feed every six hours of whatever. Work in unit names that have played X games in a time period so people see their units pop up in the Com Star war feed. Simple, prewritten stuff that drops in names like"Bob's Macaroons, The Blue Venom and 4th Jeller Guard defeated units of House B including Hal's Horsemen and the UberUrbie Brigade to capture 2 sectors of planet Warzone. Warzone remains in grave danger of being lost to House B as defending troops only control 25% of the planet."
