[Navid A1]

Well... I just finished the MC challenge using the mist lynx only!
The MC reward aside, Its been a blast in that little mech this week.

Event stats:
Total matches: 150
Qualified: 103
Total Kills: 177
Assists: 886
Average Kill per match: 1.18

Average team damage per match: 4.03

Win / Loss: 227 / 137 = 1.66

Good work.
Don't know why everyone flocks to LRM, the lights do the assist thing really well, whether as a mobile sniper or close range hit and run.
Extra bonus is that people are scared of getting the kill on you so just give you a laser wave and let you go on your merry way wrecking their teammates lol. "Oh I see you are coring our stalker over there, let me wave one laser at you then run off to find someone else I haven't zapped yet". Nobody wants to chase and kill the wabbit, just score an assist on it then ignore.

I'm qualifying in about 3/4 of matches and win loss rate seems to be doing better than usual, which I put down to all those people not wanting to kill me while I play as usual for the win not painting assists.

Awesome! Beating challenges with hard-mode 'Mechs: always a thrill! I'm just upset I've been stuck writing software all week so I couldn't do the same.

Playing with it on smurfy and if you take a medium laser off you gain .02 DPS...man that little guy can fly but loses arms fast.

Yeah, but you have lag armor with locusts. All the MLX has is sneaking and jumping. You can't outrun much at 124kph.

Yea it needs a variant with a CT energy point, it loses the arms too fast

Something tells me if this had a 225 engine and moved 160 with a similar loadout, it would have been better.

I think Navid would have done even better, in that case. But again, it's always the pilot.

To be honest, it's not that hard to get the challenge done in the Myst Lynx. It is still reasonable fast, it can poptart and the ERML have good range and do significant damage. I drove it myself in some matches just because it's easier to do the challenge with a MLX than other, heavier mechs.

Nonetheless, congrats. May you use your 2000 MC wisely.

One thing i found wrong with it is that somehow hits to the front registers on the rear... insta-coring you with full front armor. Maybe that is because very small hitboxes. Maybe the projectile coming towards you passes the front box in between a 1/20 second server tick.

Also, Firestarters sometimes don't receive full damage.

Not trying to be a kill joy but I'm unsure why anyone thinks it would be hard in a Mist Lynx. It has nice range weapons, insane jump jets, clan xl for survivability, buffed hitboxes that helped it a lot, a small profile and the "I'm not a danger" flag so people ignore it in preference to other mechs. If you look at the matches its an assist farmer. I ran quad erml or erppc/ecm levelling them and (once doubled) they weren't bad at all. Went back last week to retest the hitboxes and it was a much improved mech.

Heat on the ERPPC/ECM version is still a pig though if you get sucked into a brawl. Taught me a lot about timing.

Nice work. Faced you couple of times in matches, but also some side on side. Had a few terrible matches there.

We don't always agree with each other on the forum, but there's no question this requires very solid skills with the light mech. I don't think even 1 in 50 players could do this. Maybe 1 in 100.
