I have honestly stopped trying to pay attention to who is asking for who to be nerfed this week.
I do, however, have a question that has been nagging me.
To whit: why are these things always titled 'CW', 'Clan', and 'Nerf' in some arbitrary order?
Why do I not see 'CJF', 'CSJ', or 'CGB'?
Its kind of flattering how the community has decided that Clan Wolf is somehow controlling all of the Clans and thereby needs to be nerfed, but that just is not the case. The way PGI has set things up there is no over-command in control of the Clan Wolf Faction (as opposed to units within that faction), much less a proper ilKhan directing the efforts of all Clan forces in the Inner Sphere.
I mean, I suppose if you really want to you citizens of the Inner Sphere can continue to ask for Clan Wolf to be nerfed. PGI may grant your request and our weapons were reduced to the potency of whiffle balls--and our armor to balsa wood while we are at it.
But in all honesty it would accomplish little.
Clan Wolf has not had an attack lane against either the FRR or the Federated Commonwealth in nearly a week. Nerfing our equipment is not going to suddenly make us easier to defeat if we cannot fight in the first place!
Really, if there is anyone you should be asking for PGI to nerf it would be the Clans who are actually attacking you.
But you do not want to, I cannot and will not force you to. I mean, if you want to live under the Smoke Jags (and their orbital weapon platforms)...

You and the eleven other Liao players.
From what I can see (you know, because everyone is talking from their own experiences), the IS players don't use enough long range weapons, and the ones they have relatively suck in fights against the clans.
If the ERLL and things like the AC2 were viable, then the fights would be more balanced. Fights at long range are undoubtedly in the clans' favour right now, even with the IS lurms being what they are. I get the feeling those IS weapons are still balanced against IS mechs.
That said, at close range, it can go either way.

Here is your starting point for average as its the same center shape.. I can tell you the CT on a timber is nowhere close to this, its almost all sides.
LOL...yeah...sure it is on the TW, tell yourself that some more......
plus the catapult hitboxes are not average, they are flat out bad (better than terrible like they once were...but still...)

there is just one reason the clans are roling the is!
average skill and will to cooperate is higher with the clans, thats all.
somehow the vast majority of the is is not willing to adapt to full and coordinated teamplay and the biggest and best 12 man tounament and league teams heavyly favor clans.
this leaves the cw battlefield with a markable advantage in effectivity on the clan side.

This plus the best IS teams seem to favor going against IS where they are more likely to face uncoordinated PuGs and get easy wins instead of fighting clans where even the PuGs try to coordinate and work as a team and actually fight for the win.
