I've taken on Public relations, go check out the Skjadborg fourm page 20.

Had to do some rearranging on the site, added a page for custom mech load outs (I know Lisbeth anit your moma's Centurion and I think KOS had a custom Dobuku) Also changed the site format, But I can always change it back.

Welcome Illuminatas, darkus505, XGhostbearX, Apcluthean And Apcluthean, thank you for choosing the thread of the Browncoats for your first post. I honestly believe that this unit can be home.

As for the song, "The Hounds of War", *scratches his chin* Um...am not a particular fan... Its catchy, dont get me wrong. It's the old bones in me, I guess. "The Hounds of War" does have an exuberance, enthusiasm about it. Perhaps the days of glory do belong to the young. And us old dogs may only have embers to remember things by.

I honestly smile when I read this. I guess that's the gist of it. Out and out characters, by choice or circumstance, finding themselves in the edges of the Periphery, looking for a place to be. Then lone no more, entering, the dropship Old Serenity. *laughs*

I do hope however that the Browncoats Mercenaries may gradually grow to an almost credible military unit. Not preoccupied in ranks and such, no, no, no, but to honour the spirit of the Independents in the firefly series. Glimpses of which can be found in the opening scene way back in the begining, or when Zoey talks about apples, or particularly the time when Mal and Zoey ordered a dead body. The spirit of the Independents may even be glimpsed by the way Mal and Zoey speaks to each other.

That camaraderie and rapport between soldiers.

I can picture it now, us sitting on the mess hall of Old Serenity, telling stories about the time a young recruit cut off an old colonel's moustache. Then we hit atmo. We get on our battlemechs, hot drop, systems on.

The Browncoats will always be outgunned. That's our lot. We'll be outmanuvered, no supplies to speak of, only the brown coats on our backs... but we will hold the line, damnit... fighting that desperate fight out on Serenity Valley...

Oooh, both good choices. Hard to decide between them... I like both Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly. I guess I'll have to listen to them both again (a few hundred times) to pick between them.

As do I, and Murder by Death and Devil Doll but those don't really have good theme songs. Amon Amarth has a few good ones but not every one likes metal. Maybe a song for each lance?

Overview:
During a point when Danny's Boys were flush with success (and money), they
happened to receive a COM-2D as salvage. As the 'mech was almost totally
destroyed, it needed extensive rebuilding to be useful - but Ian took a fancy
to it and commissioned Coventry Metal Works to redesign it with EndoSteel and
Ferro-Fibrous Armor. The missile systems were removed and replaced with 4
Coventry T4H Streak SRM-2 systems, which share a single ton of ammunition
(protected by CASE) in the right torso. The Hesperus-B3M Medium Laser was left
unchanged and the armor was pushed up by a half-ton. Although the COM-2DB has
less maximum firepower than the basic Commando, it still maintains roughly the
same battle endurance and average delivered firepower due to the Streak systems.

plus on an app on my laptop i code named the project: PROJECT SHADOW-FIEND i came up with six total desighs so i may change my mind between them until i find the right one *ah breaking benjamin : anthem of the angels good song in my mind calming in fact "sing the anthem of the angels and say the last goodbye"* anyway i'll find which one is perfect for me or maybe take all the good bits off the others and make another "Hmmmmmm"
