Lots of progress made this patch, keep up the good work. Things have really turned in the right direction around here, I can say I'm glad I came back.

Appreciate the tweak to the Counterattack / Skirmish CW mode. Was not looking forward to trying to find a dozen shutdown mechs and still losing. Still can wait out the clock, but at least not get a win out of that tactic

Yes, we're working on better formatting implementations.

Trying to ensure streamlined and consistent formatting between news posts and their associated forum posts involves multiple sacrifices to long-forgotten deities and a lot of cold stares at the screen.

"Upon counter-attacking, players will now arrive at the base with the gates open and the orbital defense cannon destroyed. As with Skirmish, players fight head-to-head to get the highest score. The difference is that attackers must also destroy the mobile field base; defenders must protect it, and if the base is still up at the end of the match, they win."





Just to clarify the win conditions for the new CW Skirmish mode:

- Mobile base survives, Defenders kill most mechs: Defenders win.
- Mobile base survives, Kills are tied: Defenders win.
- Mobile base survives, Attackers kill most mechs: Defenders win.

- Mobile base destroyed, Defenders kill most mechs: Defenders win.
- Mobile base destroyed, Kills are tied: Defenders win.
- Mobile base destroyed, Attackers kill most mechs: Attackers Win.

Is this correct there is only one win condition for attackers?

First of all I wanna say thanks for the Patch, the Patchnotes sound quite nice and I'm happy to see the rewards being implemented :)

One question I still have though, is when Directx 11 will be "fixed" so it gives at least the same or hopefully better performance than Dx9 ? I'm asking because I haven't seen it mentioned in any Patchnotes over the last year if I remember correctly and from my own testing about two months ago it is still giving less FPS than Dx9.

When Dx11 was introduced last year in january you said its gonna take a few months until performance gets improved but now its a year later and so far I haven't seen anything happen in this regard, so I just wanted to ask if we can expect any improvements für Dx11 any time soon or rather not ?

If there is a specific thread for this, excuse me for posting it here, I simply don't visit the forums that often.

Was also hoping I'd finally be able to sell that centurion ah champion I got way back.

Its just stripped wasting a bay.

I appreciate the fact it was free but its just not my type of mech......... Just a waste to me/

Greetings all,

Are there any details about just what the graphics and rendering improvements were?
- Are they only related to Dx11 or both?
(some have commented on much nicer rendering of the in-game environment, is this for both the 32 and 64bit engines?)

With improvements ongoing, can we get some descriptions for the graphics settings we see in the game?
- What they actually do or will effect, if they require additional resources from the client or will/could increase/decrease the framerate.

All the settings are listed but not a single word on what they actually do. Or if changing one or more settings will require a client restart to 'lock' that setting in.

Thanks for the patch and notes.

Well... I've played one CW game. FPS? It's amazing.
And my GPU much less loaded. Temp from 70c decreased to 60. In CW match.

P.S.
In counter-attack we failed to defend the base, but got killed all and won.
Is it ok?

Does DX11 still lose focus when something happen like a X-Notifier popup telling me I've received a new message? This does not happen when using DX9 but with DX11, MWO goes to taskbar. Pretty sure I will have to test it myself...

What does ALT-ENTER usually do? I don't remember using this key combination...

Alt+Enter usually switches between windowed and fullscreen mode.

I can tell you from looking at the Davion section in your link, as compared to my own in-game profile, that the information in that link is not entirely accurate. Certainly not accurate in the Davion section.
