Future Mechs? How?

3052 is the next logical jump (allowing Tukkayid variants in allowing the rest of the IS 2750 mechs.
Beyond that, you jump to 3055. Not much new tech really, but a great many new mechs (sadly, most will not qualify for the 3 variant rule). It also features Clan second-line (non-omni) mechs plus some new omni-mechs.
3058. Again, not a great deal of new imbalancing tech. Similar problems and issues to 3055.
3060 is where you start getting stuff which will need serious balancing thought
From there, there are Tech Readouts in Battletech for 3075 and 3085 plus many sources showing mech updates and variants.
Guarantee PGI can't really run out of mech sources.

Now when they do jump forward, I'd love to see how they plan to balance the HAG riffles.

Mauler and Annihilator would have variant issues (not enough in 3050.
What's left for 3050? (Variants means issue with 3 unique variants)
Light: Flea, Wolfhound (Variants)
Medium: Asassin (variants), Hermes II, Clint, Vulcan, Whitworth (Variants perhaps), Wolftrap (variants)
Heavy: Grand Dragon (Dragon main production from 3039, subvariant), Executioner (Variants).
Assault: Annihilator (Variants), Mauler (Variants), Cyclops (Variants perhaps), Shogun (Variants), Imp (Variants), Charger
The stuff from 2750:
Light: Hornet (Variants perhaps), Thorn (Variants), Hussar (Variants*), Hermes (Variants), Mongoose (Variants), Mercury (Variants, MASC)
Medium: Sentinel (Variants), Whitworth (Variants), Crab (Variants)
Heavy: Champion (Variants*), Exterminator (Variants), Guillotine (Variants), Flashman (Variants), Black Knight (Variants*)
Assault: Thug (Variants), Davy Crocket {Katana} (Variants).
Many mechs originally presented in Technical Readout 2750 have that variant, a TR3039 variant, and a Comstar update from the Tukkayid sourcebook. Timeline jumping to 3052 would open all these up, plus the 4 Omnimechs from the Clan Wolf Sourcebook (1 is an artillery omni though), the secondline mechs from the Clan Jade Falcon sourcebook, and secondline mechs from the Invading Clans sourcebook. 3055 also opens up more mechs. Since many clans used variants of the secondline mechs, some of these should be available plus more omnis. 3058 is where we start seeing Inner Sphere omnimechs.

Either or.
In essence, PGI will come up with their own vision, based on how they have implemented other mechs. Look at the other chickenwalkers in the clan line for the legs, and the Timberwolf should give you an idea of the body.

Would also like to see some of the other "hidden" mechs redone, as I am sure many others do to. I still want a Marauder lol. Couldn't care less about anything beyond 3055.

because people want new mechs? They can make money off jumping ahead? They have no reason not to jump ahead.
there are dozens of mechs from this timeline untouched still.

Some people like the old stuff...some like me like the time about 10 to 15 years laters... I get it not everyone can be satisfied, but wish they could fins a nice balance. Alot of the current mechs still fit into the 3060's stuff and could even benefit from those upgrades. I just don't wat to wait 15 years! Maybe 2 at most lol.

Not sure if would pay that much for a Madcat mk.II...specially if in gold (don't like the attention lol)
My thing is really from MW4 days to this there are only a few weapons I can think of...what would really be that much an unbalance issue? Heavy Gaus rifels, longtom arty, and thunderbolt (I think that's the name) missle. I can't think of any really OP weapons from that game. And never noticed that much a balance issue between old and "new" in that game. Fafnir really would he the KO one I can think of that would make ppl made cause of the "death star" mentally it would have. Maybe it's I don't know that much only basics of battletech history. Please some one enlighten me on these things

yes but they I'm pretty sure they will jump eventually.
sure they will.
But the issue with being in too much of a hurry? IS you run out of tech. Better to be a bit patient, and let it be doled out, then have it all arrive and have nothing left to reveal.
