Still not ideal, but much better.

Nothing like a long hard and hot barrel to make a man a man.

I really expected them to enlarge the whole lower arm, not just the end of the barrel... looks kinda weird imho

Glad to see the Treb having some big fat cannons too now.

They ought to center the gun on the arm if you only take 1 cannon. That'd make more sense.

Looks OK for the Wang. but that was a 100mm Bore IIRC.

I'm surprised I got it off first considering the general snarkiness exhibited by this community... ^_^

That would require some logic. Doesn't fit the minimally viable philosophy.

And why does the camo of the old mech look much better? Is it simply different graphical settings, or did they do something to the skins, too?

How the new AC/20 looks on my Highlander:

Posted Image

It looks like the old AC/10 while the new AC/10 is even more smaller on Highlanders IIRC.

After putting it on some of my other mechs, I'm not that impressed overally but I'm also not bothered with the change. On the plus side, it does look better on my Shadowhawks. I think they keep the old look on Jagermechs.

I don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth, but couldn't they have centered it at least? Seems a little silly to have all that space on the arm for just one gun.

I guess there's no way to say it gracefully, but I think we all kinda wanted the old arm back.

I want closed beta back. I remember when LRMs flew straight for about 100+ meters before arcing upwards, which required perfect positioning for indirect fire. Collisions were never a problem unless you sucked. The graphics were twice as crisp. The TTK was about 1/3rd of what it is currently. I could go on and on but since half the forum community is founders, we all pretty much know about it.

Bingo. This is what they did for some mechs like the Raven-4X when mounting AC/20s or AC/10s and other mechs wiff on this entirely like the TDR-5S.

Also, the LBX-10 and Gauss still look silly small on some mechs.
