Maybe you should ask yourself why it is that you weren´t wanted.

I have no personal issue with you guys, but if you want to be a part of our Star League you have to abide by the rules we have decided, like everyone else. And if you don´t want to be a part of it, then stop complaining.

If you would have insisted on addressing the conference I can´t imagine that we wouldn´t have let you do so.

Problem is the Star League was not formed at the beginning of the meeting, and we weren't even allowed to attend. Your comments prove my point.

.....

You mean those guys who polish your mechs when you are away and tell each other stories of that one time they got to watch an MS group kick ass?

You are CGB. We all know that. There isn't a CGB without big merc units there.

CGB units have worked with us from the very beginning. We have not had the same reception when we have attempted the same in other factions. Maybe this SLDF will change things in the IS, or maybe not.

As Roadbeer said multiple times, he gave your representatives the choice to stay.
If the question would have come up to let the MS reps speak I would have voted in favor of that, because I´m democratic like that, but your guys had already left, so there wasn´t really a point to it.

Or maybe, this whole thing was just a elaborate ruse to aggravate MS into accelerating the construction of "The Great Wall of Spacebacon" around Terra and link our main territory to our Embassy in HK space?

Nah, I'll refer you back to this...

What no one from MS has addressed here yet is the simple fact that they (reportedly) openly stated their intentions to totally disregard any plans or agreements the Star League makes. If that's the case, why are you whinging over not being included? And by the way, isn't a big part of Merc Star supporting the MWO community? Well, a large part of the community just decided that they want to form a Star League and work together, and for some reason while simultaneously whinging about not being included you're openly declaring your intentions to actively sabotage it? This is about the equivalent of a group of kids deciding they want to play Risk instead of Monopoly and one of this kids just deciding to drop a Monopoly board in the middle of the Risk game and strutting around squawking about good of a Monopoly player he is.

Mercstar leadership did not state this before the meeting, which is why we made an attempt to attend. Now that we have been excluded from the formation of this new coalition why would we agree to follow its agreements? You guys dismissed us without even allowing us to hear what you were doing and decide if we wanted to be a part of it.

Difference being that the game changes over time as players and factions get organized and such.

Not telling you how to play - just saying that people can, and will, change and build opinions and big groups of players can and will censure each other over that.

Yes i do agree things change, and if you don't think MercStar is thinking about the future you are wrong so i will leave you with this.
I wish you the best of luck, you are only 2 months behind MercStar and well you are just following what we have done we have moved on to the next thing.

if MS wants to be part of the whole thing and discuss it and participate that's awesome. The big question is how would MS deal with a large group of players who had their own directives but wanted to work with MS, instead of a group of people who just did whatever MS said?

So what?

The situation is clearly formed over a misunderstanding and mistrust. If you want an apology from everyone, you're probably not going to get one. So what do you want then? What will make MS happy?

Shrug it off, we'll shrug it off, and we can continue on.

Or is this just pointless self pity?

You know what? If you guys wanna show up at the next meeting in two weeks I will try to get my council rep to move that you are allowed to make your case in front of the council.

Not because I would particularly like to hear what MS has to offer, but because you are right. We should not have excluded you right away without giving you the chance to make your case.

Lets see if you guys do more than just talk. In the field I wasn´t that impressed.

This, no. MS is very good, and we all know it. There's no reason to fan the flames.

You had me right up to that last sentence.
Though, like with all corps, you have some very good players and you have the low tiers.

I would say that you being on your clan tour would and should exclude you from any concrete planning, but it should not exclude you from being able to make your case.
Given the case that you really want a part in the Star League, you should be able to make your case about that.

Its a lot harder to impress me than to beat me. Yes -MS- are good, but not as good as their reputation might suggest. No offense intended, just my honest opinion.

Hybrid is challenging you to an arranged match between your 12 best and the MS 12 best. "Scrim" is short for the english word "scrimmage."

IS, "Hey, we're putting together the SLDF to defend against the Clans"
MS, "You kicked us out of the meeting ,,l,, "
IS, "You know what, you're right. That was wrong of us, come back in two weeks"
MS, "We'll be on our tour with the Clans then"
IS <_<
