Let's look back what happened in the meantime.

Free Worlds League takes Cor Caroli from Lyran Commonwealth! [-MS-]
Free Worlds League takes Gacrux from Lyran Commonwealth! [TTK]
Free Worlds League takes Pollux from Lyran Commonwealth! [KONG]
Free Worlds League takes Alioth from Lyran Commonwealth! [-MS-]

I doubt that any Steiner will go into negotiation unless the fallen planets have been discussed.

Ummm, Pollux, Cor Caroli and Gacrux were all taken PRIOR to 24 hours ago.

Because you guys continue to be pro-clan and anti-frr, don't expect ms to shed any tears tearing you apart.

You're going to have to accept that MS is going to gleefully do whatever they want, no matter what other FWL units do.

So, you can man up and stop them yourselves, or ignore them to focus on the greater threat for two weeks until they go back to the Bears.

Or you could whine about the people willing to help you, I guess.
.
Lemme know what you decide, k? I need to know if I should grind my Stiener mech bays while I still can

Out of curiosity, how many Steiner units were present at this meeting?

Steiner Hub was represented and our Unit for a big part of german Steiners

@Stuffz: this is angry, but you can´t avoid this. I think this shoul be a part of the next meeting, that Marik should get this planets back. If MS has no backup from marik it will be hard for them to hold the planets...

The Star League is dead and has been for 500 years.
The *New* Star League is simply an abstraction at the moment.
Time will tell.

Bit we are the real Star league( we have the unit that hes played under the name for all most 2 years), we fight the clans when we are IS but we enjoy playing all our mechs so we play the clans as well.

On a side note i still don't see why people restrict them self to only one play style.

One could argue that if you were interested in fighting the Clans, choosing the Mariks was a... questionable choice ;)

@Steiner -

Just don't show on the Marik border. Let them waste time on turrets, unless you abandon the clan front completely you won't post the numbers to hold off MS.

If you see Steiner units dropping in defense on Steiner border, drop 1 guy with them and advise they will be pugging against 12mans and if they want to have Steiner unit support and help the house they should drop on X, otherwise all they are doing is helping steiner lose planets.

The Star League is going to have issues out of the gate if the proposed ceasefires don't actually provide any border security.

Does the term "house loyalist unit" mean anything to you, or are you really that obtuse?

House loyalist with a permanent contract, and none of your dogged insistence that "we're all mercs" BS is going to change that. Either you don't understand or you won't understand, but either way, stop showing your ass.

Dear Mercstar,

There is a magical word in the English language that I would like to discuss with you today, and that word is ‘reputation’. You have one, we have one, everybody has one. Reputations have consequences. You've made yours and now you're going to have to deal with it.

You are so fond of saying that nobody can dictate how you play the game that you forget the converse of that: YOU cannot force US to play the game your way either. If your reputation makes people not want to trust you or even play with you, that's your problem, not ours. Whining about it will only make it worse.

tl;dr: You've made your bed, now sleep in it.

What kind of reputation might you be speaking of. Personally as a member of -MS- I understand that certain people may have an issue with certain people within our alliance but the entire time that I have been a member of the MS alliance I can say that very single faction with our unit (7) member currently has had an equal voice and we have all aligned in support of every decision that the leadership has made. MS has shown that different groups of different people can come together and unify for a common goal.

In my opinion the "reputation" you speak of is one that this star league should be knocking down our door to copy. Antonius Rex's leadership model for MS is the only way this "star league of your has a chance of working. Red brought 7 different competitive units together(units that probably have more history and reasons to dislike each other than any of the units you are dealing with) Tonys leadership is not something that should be shunned or feared regardless of whether or not we agree to any decisions you make, but rather if you guys really wanted to unify these groups the way you say you do you should be busting down Rex's door to figure out how to do so. Tony has unified groups that would have otherwise wanted nothing to do with each other. MS is not the "enemy" we are the model for what you are trying to implement. You should be trying to model your "star league" after us.

If this is the reputation to which you refer than I will take your post as a compliment.

Having been a part of the MS from the very beginning I can say that I am very grateful for the MS group of pilots I get to play with each and every night and would not trade this alliance for anything.

So your actual beef isn't really that you were excluded by your own choice, but that you weren't placed in control of the whole thing? Wow.

Does MS have "overweening self-importance" as a requirement for entry?

Echoing Roadbeer and Ilithi -

Your exclusion was your choice, not ours.

But if that *had* been a decision made on the Stat League's end, the behavior of your people in this thread would have validated it.

MS does have a good 'government model'. It's the same model the FWLM has used since it's inception in Closed Beta. ;)
