Just report them and move on. :)

Report what? Their victory to the higher ups? Good idea.

The fact that 4 people refused to play the game. That's a reportable offense, it isn't only reportable if your team loses. Let PGI handle things and when they get banned ((if they do it enough)) well the thing I will say to them is...

Ha ha ha...

Waiting for your team to weaken the enemy and possibly die so you can mop up at little risk to yourself isn't against the rules.

Then you would have to ban 1/2 up to 2/3 of every PUG drop.

"RP" isn't a justification to break the rules. I mean I can't team kill everybody and claim "I'm RPing! HErp derp da derp!"

Is that supposed to be an answer to what I was writing? Because I certainly see no connection. The word RP didn´t even appear in my post.

Do you see the thread title?

Hint: Everything isn't about you. Odds are if something doesn't seem to be about you it's not.

Add on: I'm not sure there is anything to say to a comment that is so silly that boils down to "PUGs be so bad you can't tell them from people who are purposefully not playing."

You post. I post. You post.

The idea that this could be directed at my post isn´t so far fetched.

Likewise the idea that you or anyone else has a formula, a spreadsheet or algorithim to decide exactly at which point you are "not fighting" and can apply said formula/spreadsheet/algorithim to a specific set of players in a specific game and finally has the will and the time to bother PGI with it and then PGI starting an investigation...well, I wouldn´t place a bet on that.

If I have been too subtle in my previous post I apologize. I see I should better spell it out for you.

If that's how you'd approach this problem I'm glad you don't work for PGI that's a horrible way to solve it. Yeouch!

I am not suggesting a way to solve it.
I am explaining to you why the problem can´t be solved.

The manpower, time and money neccessary to check on each game for behaviour some guy on the forums complains about rules a solution out. And you can´t hardcode it. Ergo: No solution.

That is what I am telling you.

Lay off the booze.

If someone is breaking the rules screenshot and report it. Then forget about it. I have been very happy with concerns I've taken to support before but what's not going to happen is posting on the forums helping anything.

I get the frustration but name and shame related stuff doesn't help. You have an issue, screenshot and report then move on.

Lol of all the things to make a personal crusade over.... 4 guys dicking around for 1 match

How about the countless pugs who are running other games or watching a movie while "auto pilot" farming. Or any of the 50 worse cases of "game exploitation"

Some people. Lol

You realize people already have the power to report people for doing rule breaking things in matches. This is covered by the same rules that cover powering down and not fighting in a match and the like. No new rules, no new process, the same thing they've been doing since the game came out.

I think you're the one boozing it up here.

And what ever came of it?

Yes, exactly.

And I explained to you why that is. Ignore that if that makes you feel better. Doesn´t change a thing about the impracticability of a game police.

I know of people who have gotten tagged because of actions they've done in matches. PGI doesn't publish a name and shame list, but most companies who have banned or given people penalties don't.

carry harder steiner, you should have brought enough assaults to handle them without the dracs.

Sounds like these tools were *so bad*, the matchmaker decided that your 8 man was sufficient to beat the entire team by yourself. And it was right.

Which is just a sad reflection of the 'skills' of the Kuritan pilots

So what does that say about the Davion pilots then?

Not fighting in a game is not, in fact, against the rules. I defy you to point to the rule that says you have to fight in every single match. there is a rule about (and I quote:) 'Persistent non-participation in core game mechanics' but that isn't what this steiner dog is crying about. if we'd dropped with him over and over and been AFK that would be one thing. We totally participated, though. we fired guns, walked around, used the chat function to taunt steiner. And it was only once. So no rules broken or even partially broken here, pal.

Falsely reporting people when no rules have been broken is against the rules.
