The Punisher

Since sharing is caring, I thought I'd share this build with the community. I have lots of fun with it and am regularly able to pull a lot of weight in a match.
It isn't as specialized as other builds but at the same time, it isn't as gimped.
The one thing most people will notice is the 1 CLPL. The reason I carry that thing around (instead of moar mpls & heat sinks) is that I like to have something to poke people at long range (Seriously, it has almost the damage of 2 IS LLs shooting at the same distance). Also, it seems to register hits nicely.

The way I play it is .... alpha, alpha, cooldown, alpha, alpha, cooldown (Alpha without the srms, of course). Putting out 55 points of focused damage every 3 seconds... and when armor has been shaved off, off go the SRMS.
As most mechs, it can't do everything alone, but if I'm supported, I can really put the hurt downrange.

Build criticism is most welcome.
Happy hunting, comrades!

EDIT: armor values are a placeholder (441 armor is right but it's usually a bit more front-biased, I just loaded stock armor and shaved the legs and head (that's their armor value) but the torsos have more armor in the front).

Not too shabby.

I run twin erppc's and twin ssrm-6 with 2 tons of ammo for them.

Took a while to get used to but im now averaging around 550 damage a match with 2-3 kills.

TBR-PRIME
I'd prefer to run it a bit cooler. Lower alpha but more DPS.

Not bad. It does have higher sustained DPS and the lasers probably cool much better (they're the main source of dmg after all) but the SRMs without artemis feel completely underpowered, you just hose down a mech in 2 dmg missiles. 12 srms with artemis occasionally pack a punch. (Although, either it's my aiming or my ~140 ms ping, but SRMs don't really seem to register properly when I fire them... I'd see a large explosion and most missiles hitting only to see the target hasn't really lost any health... Maybe I should just go full laser vomit).

What's the current take on SRM dmg? Do they do what it says on the can or do you guys find their hitreg is iffy?

SRM4's are fairly on par with SRM6+A for hit registration. I never run Artemis on my 4's and typically run nothing but 4's unless I have room for 6's + artemis. The reason for the spread is due to the hardpoints on the TBR being spread wide on the mech.

I have a low ping so I dont have many issues with SRMs hitting unless its against lights.

My favorite timberwolf that I've been using since the arrival of the clans. It's hot thanks to those Clan PPC's, takes some getting used to but I prefer it. Now if only PPC's on certain *cough* chassis weren't so super buffed.

I used to run something similar to your build on my Timberwolf-C. Worked pretty well too!
