guess what would happen if PGI give it some massive 40% lpl quirk? I doubt poeple would slap AC 20's on it anymore. it would be filled with lpl's and DHS and maybe a few ML's.

Thats what I mean with thunderbolt syndrome, when you make a single quirk so big that baoting it becaise a no brain choice and all alternates are getting invalid.

I don't think that a weapon buff is what the Pirate's Bane needs; at the moment, there just isn't any specific reason to pick it up, other than the ECM.

Since its weapons are all on the torso, though, I'd suggest swapping its 50% armor from the arms to the side torsos, and then add one to the center torso. That would let it be the more brawler-focused Locust that it's obviously designed to be with its SLs and MGs, since it would be able to tank that little bit more damage than its other variants.

Quirks need to apply to more than just one weapon type - better to have them affect a family of weapons. So that players can choose how they want to play the mech.

Boar Head could use more bonuses for pulses - add something extra for the single ballistic and missile slot. Commando should get additional buffs for lasers. Biggest problem affecting the BH is PPFLD - they can't afford to take an XL engine and be expected to tank and the BH can't use it's weapon arms to take hits - it needs those.

Others, can't really say the Boar Head and the Death Knell are quire rare to see in game but the others listed have not seen at all plus several other heroes like the Golden Boy, Firebrand, Heavy Metal, and Protector. Huginn and Ananasi seem to be popular as of late.

I have no problems with the Boars Head stock weapons since day one guys , it's a niche hero mech and in my case is my best mech been the one that gave me the Ace of Spades title long ago and a champion in my 59 mechs collection with a 2.27 K/D ratio on archived stats , 1.90 K/D on current stats and 910 battles.

You guys need to understand that it's not about "ey this mech needs different quirks because it doesn't work with my playstile" YOU need to figure out how to play it and honestly i'm not gonna give up on him and his quirks just because you can't play with it so i'm against the changes you're asking for.

Still i accept the fact that for his price and loadout it was like throwing dices for me which fortunatly i won.

If you really need help how to play with it since it's not a "classic atlas" just add me to your contacts list and will do what i can .....preferably on weekends.

St. Ives' Blues has been maybe the most under-quirked of any mech in the game, and it's a T5 mech.

1. Properly piloted Death Snail is really good,that small frame and 171 kph speed make it really the best Commando there is.

2. Blues-mobile is a brawler,it excels in that role,max out the jump jets and use 2 ASRM packs and 3 medium lasers,it will deliver.

Now how about we fix the IV-4 then,that thing is nearly unusable now. AC20 arm or 40 cooldown quirk for ac5:s please.

thats why I see Death´s Knell all over the place. Forget the Firestarter, coz we got COMMANDOS!

I'd strongly advocate for La Malinche getting another Ballistic and Missile slot in its respective torsos. The thing right now has a serious problem with usable hardpoints, coupled with being unable to shield with its arms like the other banshees (or lose some of its valuable laser points...). I'd also suggest that the AC10 quirk be replaced with LBX10. As it is, running an AC20 on it is still the better option despite the quirks encouraging otherwise. This change, coupled with the added hardpoints would give it a playstyle none of the other Banshees have and avoid it becoming just another AC20+3E mech.

I really, really want to love this mech, but it needs some serious help right now.
