The idea is simple, many of us have 50+ mechs and not all of them are ready for drop, updated to the current meta or simply in an usable state. It makes hard to choice when having to do quick decisions during CW drops.
It would be nice to be able to store unused mechs into a separate area and don't see them in the selection screens. Mechs would be freely moveable between storage and ready area.

A more robust idea would be to have multiple Tagged "Storage Areas". That way you can sort mechs into more categories if you choose.

I'd be happy with just Clan / IS tabs/filters. With some 70 mechs, it sucks to have to fish through them.

With the duplicate anniversary mechs, I'm now up to 70 mechs. I'd love to be able to sort them into commonly used mechs, and mechs I'll probably never use.

They used to have a 4 slot drop deck in the first UI before UI 2.0. Don't know why they removed it.

I liked the 4 ready to drop selection when they had it. However I think someone might have seen it as a problem and wanted it gone, just like we would like to see it re-implemented.

Totally agree. It makes so much common sense that this should have been implemented from day one

would be great, esecially when these "archived" mechs also do not get loaded when initially going into the mechlab. currently loading the mechlab at gme start is taking longer than anything else because of all the mechlab info having to be loaded.
