Also, my DPS-brawler HGN-733. AC/10, LRM-15, SRM-6, double SRM-2s, and dual MLs. Full complement of JJs, STD300, and enough heat sinks to keep everything running long enough to make a difference. This one is a lot of fun, especially once you develop the ability to keep your target between 200 to 250 meters. They MELT once you add the LRMs to the mix of AC rounds, hard-hitting SRM-6, and fast-firing SRM-2s with MLs working the armor down even further. Just pummel away and watch them cry!

And last but not least, the Summoners are GODLY. Most people don't know this. They see low armor. They see few hardpoints. They see fixed JJs. They don't see just how well this 'mech plays if you put your mind to it. I know Bishop does, though, so at least I'm not completely alone...

I only own the D variant right now, but almost every time I take out the trial Prime, I do exceptionally well. I would actually prefer the Prime if it had lower arm actuators - which would be a good way to balance it against the Timbers, actually, without going overboard. As it is right now, though, both variants are more-or-less tied for me.

Additionally, I don't care much for the Buccaneer pattern 90% of the time. Unlike most players. However, when it works, it really works:

Why not dual SRM4+SRM2 instead of SRM6+dual SRM2? You get less spread and more concentrated damage.

The SRM-2s are for accurate, continuous fire, and get used far more often. The SRM-6 only really comes into play in the aforementioned "TARGET SIGHTED, MAIM KILL SHRED" situation, to add more punch.

Also, I have a thing for SRM-2s  and take great joy in finding builds where they actually work.

BJ-1DC. It's not my best 'Mech, but it's my most joyful 'Mech. Rapid fire autocannons are the most satisfying weapon in the game.

I am probably going to get a lot of confused hate, but I actually like my Blackjack 3, more than my DC

and even more hate when people see my build

Green and purple Hellslinger with 2 lg pulse lasers, 2 med lasers and 3 Artemis SRM 4s. Fully mastered and does 65kph with tweak. I like to brawl and all those arms up close are fun as hell. I know I should run quirked ppcs on it but lg pulse lasers are just more fun. Plus I get to you, " I sub you long time!" at light mechs.

Goddam spell check. Wub you long time. Smart phones my ass.

Relaxing but trying hard - CN9-YLW.
Super trying hard - HBR-Prime(I).

Right now I'm actually just messing around with my Ice Ferret with an ERPPC+2SRM4 and I'm having a ton of fun. Getting a 500 damage game isn't too uncommon, and I basically fulfill the role of scouter and light harasser for my team while having the durability of a medium. When lights are basically nonexistent in queue it's not like I even really waste a medium slot.

I haven't played all mechs yet. I'm missing all mechs released in the last 15 months. But the mechs I enjoyed most so far are:

Light: COM-1B (1 LL, 2 ML, XL 235) all time fav mech, but I also enjoy the LCT-3M (5 SPL) and the RVN-2X (4 MPL) very much
Medium: HBG-4G (1 AC 20, 2 ML)
Heavy: CTF-4X (4 AC5)
Assault: I'm undecided between the AWS-9M (1 LPL, 5 MPL, 23 DHS, XL 385) and the Misery (1 AC20, 3 LL)

Mechs I run to when I'm tired of having my ass handed to me..

BJ-1X
FS9-S, dual AMS 4 medlas 3 smalls, BAP. total support scout.
Or "anything" with alot of dakka or gauss.

Not having much luck with laser builds, hitreg sucks unless you can get em to park for ya, tired of guessing how much I have to lead into empty space to get damage to land, gauss always works though.. meh..

Im sorry.. but if you are saying that unmastered mechs (trials do not even have basic unlocks) are effective then you are not playing in an Elo with players that know what they are doing. at all. Sure maybe the summoner can be an effective mech played well (all mechs can be) but NO mech is anything other than gimp without 2x basic unlocks (ESPECIALLY clan mechs because they are so hot)

on Topic: Banshee 3M. XL400, 4xLPL, 2xML2xSL (belly ports, never fired). If im having a bad time in any other mech its my comfort zone for stomping.

I just checked, because numbers don't lie. My overall KDR? A measly 0.68. My KDR in the Summoner D (which does have most of the basic unlocks) however, is 2.5. My KDR in the trial Prime? 1.46 - and my WLR is 9. Mech statistics don't always tell the full story. Sometimes a chassis just "feels" right, and then magic happens.
