I thought we'd all need a break from balance, OP, CBills and hitreg discussions for a little bit and talk about what mech in what config that you're all really enjoying? It might not be the mech you're doing best with or it might even be one of your worst right now, but you just enjoy running it because it's the most fun you have! Mine right now would have to be one of my Battlemasters I got from the latest sale, most of all the 3M in a variation of Wubmaster with 6xMPL in the torsos and 1UAC5 and 2xML in the arms. Wubbing those pesky firestarters that are all over the place nowadays right in the face and see them run off with the CT armor gone never gets old. So what is your current happy mech and config?

My second AS7-S is a 3025 era inspired AS7-D basically, with a downgraded AC10 for weightsavings to add more heatsinks. And YES I run Single Heatsinks in it. Yes it can end up running very hot if I am not careful. No it doesn't do terribly, and can in fact, still stand up to many other mechs just as well as my real AS7-D founders which is fully mastered and runs DHS.

my literal only complaint about it is because I'm running it with pure 3025 era tech, I can't utilize AMS.

My Cranky Crab. Seriously though I used to love my Heavy Metal until they took the nerf bat to my Jump Jets and decided to give my gauss loving beautiful mech silly AC/5 quirks. I keep hoping and dreaming another quirkening will come around and fix it, but until then I'm on to another Star League era mech,

All hail the King baby!

Wubwubwub. Many I'm enjoying right now, but current fave is my BJ-1X with 2LPL and 3ML.

2 LPL 4 ER ML Timber Wolf Prime invasion, "Laser Vomit"

On the extremely rare occasion I'm in PUGlandia, it sends their scrub faces straight back to the 'mechlab, QQing in the forums of how OP Clan 'mechs are.

Which tends to make my day.

I really enjoy my Jenner-D, and I do really well in my brawling ShadowHawk-2D2 (which is my go to mech).

However I'd have to say my "joy joy" mech is my Cicada 3C. The damn thing is useless but it's just a joy to pilot and the this is just so cute! Hard not to love *chirrup*

I like that build because (to me) it's actually challenging to handle properly. If I manage the heat properly, I wreck face, but if I get sloppy, I shut down and get wrecked. Feels like I'm actually working for it.

Actually got 4 happy happy joy joy mechs I really enjoy piloting for fun.

First one is the Swayback with 8 medium lasers. Old friend.
Second is the Yen Lo. While AH is very nice also, this is the Cent for me.
Locust 1E. With all 5 medium lasers in its arms this little bugger is very versatile. Something I wish Pirates bane would have been.
Orion K. Even if quirks don't support it I run it with 2 LPL and a 20. Fun front line tank.

Plenty more but this is the top 4. Weird thing they're all IS and short range :-)

AS7-S with four SRM6-A, AC-20, and 2mlas. Great mech for my low fps, no sniping, just walk up and smash face ^_^

Buy SDR-5V.

Equip max engine, 2 MPLAS, 11 jumpjets.

Drop SDR-5V.

Fly over the heads of your enemies at 169 kph.

Enjoy the laser show as they try in vain to hit you, while playing this in the background:

Your stress has now been relieved.

my current happy mechs are.
clan nova prime 12 med lasers and 4 mguns, because when I core out a dashi in seconds it makes my day.

the other one has to be orion protector, because its got ****** quirks but i still run it ac 10 ppc 2 ml and a lrm 20. was using guass+erppc and 2 er larges for a orion IIC feel but i just hate the charge mechanic i find i do a lot better with a ac 10 and regular ppc and i can use a std engine.

My absolute favorite mech is the cicada 2B . It suits my play style perfectly and the quirks make it amazing.

Cicada 2A. Two ERLL. Four ML. XL300. Two external DHS. Target Info Gathering. Beefy Jenner, striker extraordinaire. It's actually a build I've had had for a long time, but with standard LL instead of ER. Hadn't run it for quite a while, though, was busy leveling all kinds of other 'mechs. Decided to take it out for a few CW matches last night, had a BLAST. The recent quirks made the difference between the LL and ML more prominent than before, so I upgraded the larges to ER, and got a couple of epic matches in.

Also, just gave it a new paint job. Didn't bother with an unlock since I didn't like any of the other Cicada patterns:

Awesome AWS-8Q.

2x PPCs, 5x MPLs, and pure, unadulterated murder-killing. You can run a STD285 and fit an extra DHS. I think I had a 290 lying around, and I've got other things to put my c-bills toward at the moment (I still need a third King Crab, and all my money went to weapon modules for the sale).

This CN9-AH works surprisingly well for me. It can tank a lot of damage for a medium mech and is fast enough to get out of bad situations or to flank and backstab. I can even outbrawl some TBRs with it.

It tempts me to buy a Yen-Lo-Wang.
