Have 1 major problem with this game that I just can't get past. I can't see mechs that are far out, they are always obscured and blurred out.
It's like my pilot is nearsighted. I have been playing since closed beta and this has gradually gotten worse.
I have made some changes to my user.CFG, but I don't know if they are all valid. I was reading somewhere that if 1 value is not supported by PGI that makes the whole user.cfg file invalid?
Is that true? I went thru a guide that had before and after images on the changes in crysis 3, but IDK if those changes would be valid in MWO.
Here's what I have. I have very little experience with cryengine as a whole so any advice would be helpful.

To my knowledge, not all of those work in MWO.
Have a look at this: How to Optimise MWO if you're having Framerate Issues or are using a lower spec computer
It's my guide to help optimise the game, and has all the user.cfg items I know work.
Apply them and see what works.
I'll experiment with some of the options there when I get time to see if any of them I don't already use work anymore.

TBH my user.cfg hasn't worked for months. I now have to put my settings in system.cfg. Maybe none of your settings are making a difference like was happening for me?"

Make sure to run as admin to ensure things take effect.
I popped it all in the link.

See the thing is I'm not having FPS issues ( far from it) I just can't see things clearly at a distance.I mean if I'm looking at a 80 ton mech across a lake or something (I.E river city forest colony). I would be able to tell the difference between that and a lamp post...
The ONLY map I really don't have that problem is in alpine. You can see stuff 1500m+ no problem.

Setting post-processing to low got rid of the worst blur for me, but it's still not as crisp as most other games. Think part of the problem is actually the coloring, most backgrounds are a washed out grey/brown and so are the mech lod models.
Still, will play around with some more user.cfg options in the evening and see if anything happens.

Try: e_MaxViewDistSpecLerp = 1
Explanation: e_MaxViewDistSpecLerp
This may also help: View Distance of Characters/Players
