Do we know anything about the uniqueness of our founder Mechs in the future?

Obviously the skin is not gonna be available in later promotions but there are gonna be "Premium Mechs" (+25% c-bills) available in the store eventually, right?

I would like the founder Mechs to stay unique not just in terms of skin, however I understand if they would put them for sale in the store due to their popularity.

The answer to this question might also be important for people who are not sure weather to purchase Elite or Legendary...

I hope they stay unique for at least half a year from launch, that would be fine by me

If they offer other mechs that have a bonous I'm sure they will not be the same chassy as the founders mechs.

So maby they have a pro-mo or somthing where you can for a certain duration perchas a mech with a perm. bonous.

It would make sense for them to use a different chassy so that people with founders mechs would spend the money as well as people who don't. So you prob have nothing to worry about.

It would be cool, but I would be just as happy having the skin to show my help in keeping Mechwarrior alive. I would love it if perhaps a sigil for any mech we use could be incorporated to show our support.

Founders Mechs will always be unique because only Founders Mechs have the Founders Mech skin.

The entire point of Founder's mechs is that they're exclusive to Founders. The people who paid, at minimum, $60 on a F2P game with painfully little information yet released, and hopefully put some money towards development or marketing.

I don't mind if they sell a 'Premium' Atlas with a custom skin and the 25% C-Bill booster down the road, but it shouldn't be an Operation Inception rig.


Plenty of games have time or event-limited cosmetics. It's not like this is stuff that will have any effect on gameplay.

Founder Mechs versions with our money mod+skin will be exclusive to us forever. However when they add new Mechs post release they may have the boost on them in a temporary "introduction" type sale.

I think there will be exclusive premium mechs in the future that will be just as competitive as the founder mechs. They will have to be different models however they could in theory be the same chassis (although I think offering premium different chassis would raise less alarms).

I would expect them to as if they did not, that would eliminate one the the purposes of purchasing Founder's Packages.

I don't mind if there are 'premium' versions of Mechs available for purchase, with similar boosted cbill income, but I think the Founder's Mechs should receive a unique and exclusive skin.

Next one should be for Clan mechs , skins and c-bills. Only way to get a Madcat MKII. Tons of people would buy it. More then the first go around.

I'm not elitist or anything, but people here are "founders", we payed PGI purelly on faith without having even sampled the game, we deserve to have something that the late comers don't. It's not like we gain power, we just have a skin that says "I'm a BT nut, deal with it !".
So the mech in itself, its configuration will of course be availiable to everyone, it's just the prime variant of some tech-tree thing apparently, but the skin is just for us believers, and I hope it stays that way


It's like Kickstarter : you fund too late, you don't get the better prices or the goodies anymore, the time has past.

I agree, but I see it differently.

Even if the founder's mechs are never repeated (and I hope they aren't) nobody is being denied the content - We all get to play against them!

Sometimes you want stuff in the game so you can play against it, as well as with it.
For example I don't intend to run an Atlas, but I sure as hell want to cack my pants when I bomb round a corner & one powers up in my face.
