@Paul_Inouye: Comstar Interception: To the members of the FRR... Tukayyid will be open to attack in the next combat cycle.

The smallest faction against the Majority of the server, I do appreciate the honor that the FRR's small band of heroic Mech warriors is tasked with the taking of the second most Important canonical planet, and against overwhelming numbers of Clannner defenders as icing.

All four of the clans (the smallest of which outnumbers the FRR by a couple companies worth of players) will be prepared for this epic battle, while the FRR will be forced to fight alone. Yes, a totally well balanced and thought out effort on PGI's part, they are doubling down on the first battle of Tukayyid having happened in the middle of the night, with no warning.

If the Other houses were allowed to join this battle it might actually mean something, as it is, it seems more like an e-peen BJ being offered to the Clan ego all at the expense of the FRR players.

Just how will PGI stack this fight? IS vs clans, a nice rather even epic battle, or all the clans rofl steamrolling the FRR with massive numbers, locked queue modes and ghost drops galore?

In any case I will be there, not going make it easy for ALL the Clammer's, the ones that get a real drop with us will have tough fights. The rest of you clammers make sure you help CSJ reap all the glory you can for this battle, they will be needing your help again.

Of course any IS players who feels like taking an FRR contract for this would be more than welcome, we would even give you free mead while you were here!

I'm curious. Say a Davion unit like HHoD goes there and wins the planet. Does it go back to FRR or is it painted Davion yellow?

Well i guess this is a initial test to see how it will hold up.

I guess a later event might open it up to any faction to attack =)

Any way... My guess is that it will be glorious either way.

Now of course in our timeline the planet it self has no meaning... =)

Why can't other houses join the defense?

Because it's an attack.

But it is so pretty with the (DERP) tag on it. We had no idea the significance of this planet until afterwards, it was just a place to fight. But now.. we just want CSJ to keep it in its pocket :)

but 3 of DERPs named planets up for grabs this cycle? wtf, guess we got some work ahead of us tonight weeee

When will Terra be open then? If PGI is going to arbitrarily open corridors for an 'Iconic' planet then Terra should be wide open due to every system having unpatrolable areas (due to the Vastness of even intrastellar space) that allow jump ships to recharge without being detected. We are not the Clan's of Lore, who foolhardily put Face above Victory, and since Luthien is surrounded by Clan forces (since it cant be directly attacked) the Ebon Jaguar wont be called the Cauldron Born since it was Kell Hound forces that gave it that name. But theyre gonna do what they want and say 'Lore cant be maintained in all its aspects' as a reasoning.

Ah thanks, I read it as it was open for clans to attack thinking there was some sort of event taking place :)

Sorry FRR I must break you.

This would be a pretty cool opportunity for an event. I am sure that is still in the wings. Maybe next time.

Actually we came pretty close to retaking Tukayyid tonight. It would have happened had more FRR pilots joined the fight, or better yet: more mercs grew a pair, signed an FRR contract, and tried to fight there to get their unit tag on a planet.
