Talking about what? Your faction taking Davion worlds? It's happening. MS is doing what they like regardless of how much you wag your finger at them. Not like you or anybody but the defenders can do anything about it. That's reality. Is this offensive to you or something?

Marik is just MS. Liao gets lucky every couple of days and we went defense when nSL was proposed.

The issue isn't attacking Davion - I miss fighting HK, clans are a 1 trick pony. It's either a comp team that knows how to work its mechs or its pugs who trickle in and die because all they normally fight is IS pugs in trial mechs.

It's that everyone else went all in against the Clans and wanted to pitch behind Kurita and their theoretical focus back on their clan front. Instead Kurita units spent time taking IS worlds while mercs and allies fought the Clans.

That is the issue. A history of either running completely from the Clan front or letting mercs and allies fight clans on their borders while attacking is neighbors. Then saying, after coordinating for aid on their Clan border, that they don't want anyone defending them.

All of which is perception and I can't speak to the validity of any of it however it is all comments that come up a lot from people who can speak first hand. Then when given an opportunity to commit to a organized Clan offensive HK declined, saying they preferred the status quo (see above) but are happy to accept all of Mariks effort on their behalf and to continue to do such in future.

That is why.

I see a pattern here and no matter what we say you won't change your views.

Seems very diplomatic and not overbearing at all.

Will nSL now punish those that prefer some independence?
Marik and HK were fighting clans together way before any mention of the nSL.

Now all of a sudden Davion wants to support an all in on clans and not stab us in the back like before. Why should we trust this?

Personally I would have no issue with helping Steiner, they know what our position is like.
Davions are still being smug and are trying to leverage Marik against us. You make that very plain.

Either way we have kept our word when it has mattered. We are being upfront about our views.

Then quit trying to pretend to be Charles Bronson with these vague statements on a text-based medium. Talk to us and express what bothers you and what your thoughts are, I'm trying to and swear to engage any point you make in good faith Roadbeer.

We feel like a decision was trying to be forced on our faction without our input and pushed back, we're confused because Marik has always been our friend an ally, and when we ask for clarification we get told that we're arrogant and that we're going to pay for offending you without even realizing it. Wouldn't you get irritable and catty too if you were us?

I just don't get this whole "stabbed us in the back" thing. How do you betray an enemy?

@Prophetic;

No issue with pugs and 2nd line units popping up. The issue was 50+ queued on attacking Davion while your allies are fighting the clans. My stance has always been that everyone needs to be flexible about a bit of cross border mischief so long as all the big boys stay on point.

Not trying to turn anyone against anyone. Marik is the one holding the flag against the Clans right now. They are all in on it and the BMOC. They are where Davion was a while ago. The point is that they don't need anything from any other faction. They could roll worlds on every border they have right now. What's cool is that they want to go push the Clans back and are taking steps to do so... Just that Kurita, the best point from which to do so, has declined to commit to actually focusing on the clans over anything else, so all their effort is blunted to facilitate HK expanding is borders.

You have been very honest. You've been clear that you prefer to attack Davion and Steiner and focus on Clan front when you have support enough and the is borders are pushed out. The problem comes from people wanting Kurita to want to focus on the clans as ferventlyas they do. A matter of hopes and expectations not matching reality.

I am a bit let down I admit. Saw this as a chance for trash-talking Kurita to lead the charge into clan territory. There is a lot of gold on the map still and I fimly believe that Davion border issues are at heart a Davion issue that won't be solved by anything but a huge leap up in Davion effort and presence in CW. CW needs to see a big coordinated IS effort to toll the Clans way back. Now Marik has to work out a way to do so without a significant Kurita presence.

Fair question. I'll leave that to the nSL to answer.

I've been pretty harsh on you in the past so i want to make it clear that this is not some kind of personal attack, but I think the solution here is to play the game and maybe do the politicking thing with your own faction if that's what you're into, but don't expect selflessness from people who have chosen to play in the evil IS faction. Really if I were you I'd stop hoping and expecting things of other factions at all, at least not before they have been agreed on, and even then keep my expectations to the actual people who i ahve agreed with and no more. You've been disappointed by Kurita somehow, but Kurita owes you nothing and those who speak for them (including NKVA's own 'leader') have been 100% straight with you on where things stand. It's not their fault that you have been let down.

I'm not bothered - let down in the same way that the Urbie isn't out for valentines so we could have an Urbie Love event is unfortunate.

The politics are all perfectly appropriate. Kurita is playing alliances to maximize benefit and minimum of cost. Calling Kurita on that isn't illegit, you want to roll villain style you get villain treatment.

This is where your perception falters when it comes to HK.

We have had exactly one 12 man last night vs Davion. All other 12s were on the clan border. We did take one back from CGB.

In the last 5 days no more then 2x 12s were on a Davion planet. We have been focused on clans and closing the Marik wormhole.

So the fact that 50 plus HK members are actively fighting u is a flat out over exaggeration. The truth is we don't need more then one or two 12 mans to take your worlds. We take them so quick and early that your units usually give up to attack Liao or even Marik.

So please stop making up numbers and twisting the facts. Nor should you assume what our priorities are.

Careful Valar - starting to show your old Davion colors again....you are Marik now, remember? Concord of Kapetyn and all that good stuff? Can't be acting like an Easter Cadbury Cream egg (purple on the outside and yellow on the inside), now can we?

Now run along and read up on your Marik/DCMS history like a good little Benedict Arnorld....while trying to figure out what faction you plan to run to next if/when Marik ever runs into problems like Davion did.....
